How cool is this?

I heard it on the radio this morning, and just had to look it up to see if it was really true. Thank the fates, that little girl was so lucky to escape! Reading this, I was reminded of my dad, who always used to tell me the story about being out sledding with his dog when he was 9 or 10. He fell and twisted his ankle pretty bad, and his dog pulled him home on his sled. Pets are truly amazing, and I would like to dedicate this thread to any stories, anecdotes, or memorials to special animals who might have touched your life. Any takers?

That’s funny–I was just checking the Lansing State Journal online this a.m., making sure there were no interesting stories on state legislative stuff, when I saw that headline. My first thought was “Hey, I’ll bet some Dopers would think this story is pretty cool…”

I’m pleasantly surprised that they gave the guy’s full name, when and where he’s to appear AND his dedgem home address out.
