From this month’s Reader’s Digest.
WALL-CRAWLING and HEALING FACTORS!
Researchers at the University of Manchester have developed a super-sticky tape that mimmiks the mechanisms used by [gecko] lizards to climb nearly any surface. One square centimeter of of the new adhesive contains millions of tiny plastic fibers similar to those clingy hairs on the soles of a gecko’s feet. In addition to potentially allowing folks to scale walls Spider-Man-style, this new technology, scientists say will have many applications [including] tissues in need of rejoining during surgery.
SUPER-VENTRILOQUISM!
Inventor Elwood “Woody” Norris has developed a technology called Hypersonic Sound [HSS] which can direct sound waves in a precise, laserlike beam for almost 150 yards. The result: you can be listening to music from across the room, but a person standing near you won’t hear a thing. Move a few feet, and you can’t hear, either.
More here on HSS.
Can anyone else here find any other technology news for superpowers?

Only thing I can think of is the device talked about here . While right now it’s in it’s infancy, I can see a point where it becomes good enough that tiny night vision cameras could be implanted into a person giving them “super eyesight”
