Super Tuesday Super Thread

Good bye Romney.

Who woulda’ thunk Huckabee would do so well?

Florida talk:

McCain needs a bigger win than this to drive a stake through Huckabee.

Man, Obama pretty much has the Midwest. Not to mention, he’s devouring Colorado. Who would have thunk?
[/QUOTE]

Also took Utah, according to the AP.

Huckabee has a point:

We could be seeing Mitt’s last day here.

Judging by the exit polls, Hillary will get CA.

In the states where they are currently leading, Obama is winning by 60% or more in 7 out of 10 and more than 70% in 2. Clinton is only winning 1 out of 8 of hers by more than 60%, and that is Arkansas. Most hover in the mid to low 50%.

That’s unfortunate…

Depends on the margin. No winner take all.

Huckabee doesn’t have a point, he’s getting slaughtered too. McCain has won. That’s obvious.

True. But the superdelegates, being of the species Politicanus americana, will land for whoever has the bigger draw, and coming out on top in Cali would help Obama tremendously, even if it’s only a narrow margin.

I have a hard time knowing who is voting for Hillary since I haven’t seen one person who is passionate about her.

WOOO! HILLARY!!!
WOOOOOOOOO!!!

Oh ye of little faith!

From here (posted earlier), it tells me that the Californian democratic primary, with 2% reporting, has 10% going to Edwards.

Are absentee ballots taken into account for exit polling?

WOOO HILLARY! YEAH!

Better?

I’m kind of starting to resign myself to a Hillary nomination, a full-scale, hysterical swiftboating by the right (cheered on gleefully by the media), reverent, uncritical coverage of McCain, the war hero and the worst Democratic loss since Dukakis. The right has been licking its misogynist chops to run against Hillary since her husband left office. All those people voting for Hillary are giving the Republicans exactly what they want. What’s the matter with the Dems anyway? Why do they WANT to lose? Are they masochists?

Oh well, McCain won’t be the end of the world, I guess. Still an improvement over Bush, but so is herpes.

I am overseas so US foreign policy affects me quite directly. If Hillary wins the nomination, McCain will win the general election but Hillary and McCain are the same… both warmongers. I left the USA when Bush got elected and would come home if Obama wins.

Hillary or McCain and I’d rather not live in a despotic America.

Go Obama!

Where are you getting these exit polls?

One trend emerging with the exit polls is that Obama is getting most of the independent votes. Another peculiar thing is that a lot of the times, people say Hillary is more qualified to be Commander in Chief. But in almost every state where people have said this, only 80% voted for her. Roughly 12% of people who stated Hillary was more qualified voted for Obama. Also, in most cases, those who stated Edwards was more qualified voted for Obama by a wide, wide margin.

The CNN Election Center shows Clinton leading Obama in California 55% to 32% with 14% of the votes reported.
