So far, it’s OK but I thought it would be funnier.
I am assuming that Paris Hilton will attack Dean, since she is who he looks up to.

Meh. Kinda dull episode. Paris Hilton is pretty much as terrible as I would have guessed. Two bright spots:

Sam and Dean finally TALKING. Dean pointing out that he broke the first seal and there was no way they could have known that killing Lilith was the wrong thing to do. Whew.

The look on Sam’s face when Dean said he’d never seen House of Wax. I laughed and laughed and laughed.
I think they are, in fact, going on hiatus, but I’m not 100% it’s starting now. There might be another new episode next week? Not sure.
The SOON stuff looked awesome, though. The Horatio Caine impression nearly made me pee my pants.
Pretty weak ep, but didn’t bother me too much as it was just a one-off. I know this isn’t supposed to be taken too seriously, but the damned monster of the week was pretty inconsistent, no? From being able to simulate a car crash and shooting a guy with no gun, to Paris Hilton bitch-slapping?
Will be nice to see if there is development in the boys’ relationship. And the preview looked AWESOME!
Fun enough, but no real substance. Best laugh of the night came from my sister, who was watching with me:
Civil War Geek: “You…you’re supposed to be dead!”
Sister: “…Is that really what you would say if you saw Abraham Lincoln in your study?”

It wasn’t the best episode ever, but it was nice to see a monster-of-the-week episode, I thought. While I love the Angel/Demon/Apocalypse stuff, I really don’t want all earth-shatteringly-heavy all the time from my Supernatural.
Kyla, I imagine the Horatio impression is going to be part of the same episode as the sitcom-looking bit earlier in the preview. Some bizarre trapped-in-TV-Land thing. Ooooh, maybe orchestrated by a Trickster.

It IS the Trickster. YAY! I love the Trickster! There’s also something about a Japanese game show, OMG. I can’t wait. This is apparently 5.08.
I’m curious as to why you think Dean would look up to Paris Hilton. I agree he might (MIGHT) want to have sex with her but I doubt he would admire anything about her beside her looks.
In other news, I thought this ep ROCKED. The ending? Are you kidding me? Best scene EVER.
They did the same thing season two before “Croatoan” aired, and it was only a break of a week or two then; the episode with the little boy from the peview will be next week, anyway. I liked the TVland part of the preview, it reminds me of an episode they did of Roswell called “I Married An Alien” (that was a parody of Bewitched). I’m also looking forward to seeing why they’re riffing on CSI:Miami.
I like how Paris Hilton’s role was basically to talk about how ridiculous Paris Hilton is. I wonder if she even got that.
I feel silly saying this, but I feel like they wasted her in this ep. She showed a self-awareness and a sense of humor in that campaign commercial. But as used in this episode, they shoulda just saved the money and got an impersonator (or a busty Asian beauty).
