I remember seeing someone post a link the a fallacy of ‘lurker support’ where one person claims that they have the support of lurkers for their side fo the argument, but my search-fu is failing me. Can anyone find that?
Sounds like it should be Argumentum ad populum (appeal to popularity), combined with a failure to provide evidence of that popularity (which isn’t all that uncommon with Argumentum ad populum fallacies anyway)
