Surprise kidney stone passing

Interesting. Just passed a kidney stone I didn’t know I had. I’ve had them before, and they were long and painful as hell, this one was gone before it really said hello.

Last couple urinations did have a bit of discomfort, but it went away after 2 or three minutes, and I forgot about it till the next time I peed. But I just got home from work, after a crappy commute, and needed to go bad. Very quickly moved to severe pain in the region that made it hard to aim while suppressing the urge to bend over in pain.

But just as the thought"Fuck, I got another stone" crossed my mind it popped out and dropped to the toilet looking like a broken off piece of pencil lead, and pain immediately dropped to a weak, dull ache again. I was so surprised with the whole thing, I flushed out of habit, before thinking if I wanted to fish it out for analysis.

I guess it formed right at the kidney exit door this time, much better than the alternative.

I’ve had that happen before.

I’ve been through 8 kidney stones. The last 2 were not that bad. The pain for them both was 4 out of 10 (definitely bearable) and they didn’t last longer than about 2 hours.
