Surprises coming for voters for the Leopards-Eating-Faces Party

That’s why I left it for you to comment on, you dog :slightly_smiling_face:

I mean… I was out drunk as hell on a bachelor party excursion and we stumbled into a lesbian owned/patronised by bar. We got our drinks but even as drunk as we were, we paid and left, without drinking them. We could discern we were not very welcome.

The stupidity of MAGA on both group and individual level is astounding. More stupid than a drunk Zimbabwean? That"s pretty fucking stupid.

But he won’t lift a finger to prevent it.

Not a lesbian bar, but my friends and I once (after a few drinks here, and a few drinks there, and a few drinks at another place) stumbled into a bar that turned out to be a front for the mob. Yes, drinks were ordered and served and paid for, but it was pretty clear that we were not welcome. We drank up quickly, and I guess we were in and out in ten to fifteen minutes.

Had we known, though, we never would have gone in. Point is, that if you know a place is unwelcoming to you, why would you even think about going in? To make a point of some sort?

Yes, that’s exactly it. This person wasn’t “stupid”, at least not for going into this bar. They knew exactly what they were doing, and that was farming outrage. They got the reaction they wanted, on video, and they’re getting praise for it from their fellow travellers.

@Czarcasm @Smapti Let me try to clarify the situation a bit because there might be a bit of talking at cross purposes.

My point was simply (1) That the supreme court has been exceedingly favorable to Trump these last few years and that (2) ruling that contractors should receive the pay they are owed is hardly clipping Trump’s wings because it has nothing to do with blocking his agenda.

Do you dispute (1), Smapti? Because the immunity case was pretty shocking to most legal experts, and the SC could not have done more to waste time on Jack Smith’s filing (if they had said they would not take the case, he could have filed in a lower court. They strung him along, wasting the absolute maximum amount of time that they could have), and they refused to take cases that were of massive national importance but would have hurt trump.

And in terms of (2) and the wider picture of whether the SC will genuinely block Trump, we’ll see, but I don’t yet see good grounds to suppose that they will.

Now, AIUI the point that Czarcasm is raising is that we haven’t even seen if MAGA will obey the court order yet. Again, none of us know the future, but I think he is right to say this, because as we all know, MAGA is ignoring at least some federal court rulings (in what is already a constitutional crisis but it seems most people aren’t aware of how serious this is).

Funny, but in my drinking days - and even later playing music, I spent a lot of time in gay and lesbian bars. (I’m neither.) Never felt the least bit unwelcome. Of course, I was simply minding my own business - drinking, dancing, playing music… Being pleasant to anyone I interacted with.

Yeah, we were obnoxiusly drunk.

Better to do the right thing..

I don’t think we did this one.

Don’t know why the preview isn’t working, but Briggs’ commutation isn’t working out like he expected. He acknowledges he’s being used by Trump and his sycophants, but still supports Trump

I don’t understand what’s going on with the link. I can copy and paste it into my browser and it works fine, but when I paste it in here it does not.

I wonder if the issue is that MSN is re-posting from The Independent. Let’s try this

Link doesn’t work either

Works here.

Biggs is an idiot, and it is fun reading about him crying “woe is me”. Wish he and his palies were still in prison, thought.

If there is anyone really deserving of having their faces eaten, it’s Biggs. Fuck him.

Poster fixed the link. Original one just went to a basic MSN page.

This was my favorite part:

As a retired veteran, Biggs received a monthly pension that provided a large part of his income. He also received health care through the Veteran’s Affairs agency to treat Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and a traumatic brain injury he suffered while deployed to Iraq, for which he received a Purple Heart.

All of that was cut off as a result of his conviction.

I can’t wrap my head around how much Trump has fucked this guy over, just absolutely wrecked his life, and he still stands behind the Tangerine Turd 100%.

It does make me smile inside to know this fucking terrorist lost all of his military benefits as a result of his actions on January 6.

“I like soldiers that don’t get brain damage.”

My idiot congressman (Andy Biggs, no relation) loves to brag about how much he supports “our troops”, but votes against every bill improving the VA or coverage for “our troops”. And that is the one thing the MAGAts should be voting for, if they believe their own rhetoric. We shouldn’t need to see constant commercials for the Wounded Warrior project, because the VA should be taking care of their needs.

But Joe Biggs can co cry in his beer. If I knew his address I’d send him a sympathy card. Or a shit card. They’re right next to each other.

Apparently this is going around.

I voted for Donald Trump to piss off the liberals. It was really funny. I am worried that I will lose my Medicaid now.

I have Type II Diabetes with diabetic retinopathy. If I lose my healthcare, I won’t be able to afford my meds and I’ll lose my vision

I’m in tears. Please help me.

I don’t know if this is real. I couldn’t find ‘Wendy- MAGA Lady’ on Xitter. If it is real, one thing I notice is that she doesn’t appear to be sorry she voted for Trump; just that she’s worried she’ll lose her Medicaid. I wonder if she regrets her decision now.

If she does, it will be “really funny”!

I think that this has been said before about the new MAGA budget.
This time, it’s from Yale.

It has not been paid. I worked for 30 years on USAID funded projects, I am not aware of a single company that has received what is owed to them. Even if it is paid out, many of the companies have gone bankrupt.

In addition, many of the companies that have collapsed are being sued in the countries in which they operated because when the companies were suddenly ordered to terminate their projects, they often were not able to do so in a way that was in compliance with host countries labor laws. So the local staff they terminated are owed compensation packages that the companies just don’t have the money for.
Of course all the projects are dead and can’t be started again, not without years of work, but the trust is gone.

I’ll be laughing.

Yup. A veteran that did not realize that it’s a bad idea to attack the United States, the Capital no less deserves no sympathy.

And that goes for everyone that did this, not just veterans. Got caught up in the moment  . Uh huh.
