Surprises coming for voters for the Leopards-Eating-Faces Party

Whatda you mean? The cuts in spending are so we can cut the taxes of the very richest of the rich. And, pray tell, just who is more deserving than them?

That’s the rankest form of partisanship, sophistry, and blasphemy, and you should be thoroughly ashamed of yourself.

Oh. No. Wait. Maybe you’re exactly right after all:

[or any of a hundred thoroughly credible cites]

“We’ll grow our way out of it,” says the “Deficits don’t matter” party. And we never do.

Huh.

Yeah. Huh.

And now some Republican senators would like Elmo to please STFU about Social Security. Interesting that out of 3 interviewed, only Lisa Murkowski was OK with having her name used. I wonder who the spineless other two are?

“It doesn’t help the president when you have somebody who clearly is not worried about whether or not Social Security benefits are going to be there for him” leading the effort to shrink the Social Security Administration, said Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska), referring to Musk, the world’s richest person.

News flash, Lisa. The elected President doesn’t really care any more about it than the unelected one.

“He should zip it on that. It’s not helpful. It plays right into Democrats’ hands; they want to talk about Social Security cuts, Medicare cuts, Medicaid cuts. We don’t. The president does not want to talk about that. He’s against all those things,” said a Republican senator who requested anonymity to voice frustration about Musk’s rhetoric on Social Security.

So is it the Democrats’ fault this is happening or not? You guys were the ones that brought it up first. Make up your mind, Senator Chickenshit.

The White House issued a press release last week in response to the controversy over Musk’s comments declaring: “The Trump Administration will not cut Social Security, Medicare or Medicaid benefits.”

The problem with lying so much is most people aren’t going to believe you about this either.

A second Republican senator who requested anonymity to comment on Musk’s focus on Social Security said DOGE should stay away from the programs, warning that cutting staff and field offices will likely impact beneficiaries, including thousands of seniors, across the country.

But you’re too afraid to say that to Elmo’s face?? If/when yours gets bitten off, remember it’s all your own fault.

You could roll a pretty tight joint in just one of the furrows of Susan Collins’s brow this evening.

Bet on that.

When do the calls start coming from Bentonville?

Over the 12-month period ending July 31, Bentonville, Ark.-based Walmart captured 25.8% of SNAP shoppers’ grocery dollars. A whopping 94.3% of SNAP recipients said they shopped at Walmart.

In fiscal year 2023, the federal government spent about $115 billion on SNAP, including pandemic-related SNAP benefits (but excluding pandemic-related school meal benefits known as Pandemic-EBT) and other directly related food assistance programs. About $107 billion, or nearly 94 percent of SNAP spending, went directly to benefits that households used to purchase food.

Right near the top of annoyances for me is when people say we need to hear out such concerns; that they can’t possibly be nonsense if millions of people believe that they are true.

Yes they can, and trying to be sympathetic to nonsense enables the ratchet to move to the next level of utter tripe.

You are denying people’s right to live their own truth. You are going to damage people’s chakras, and deny them their freedom. You are a bad person and you should feel bad.

My own truth is that I am the king of the world and you must all do what I say, and I’m getting pretty frickin’ tired of no one accepting this.

Another newsflash. The Firxt Felon isn’t against those cuts now. He’s just against talking about them now.

Inexcusable

Alcohol abuse, financial irresponsibility

If you’re wondering what it takes for people to snap out of the cult…

He could have been lying next to his really pretty wife right now, but nah, he’s got his Trump-Vance duvet cover or whatever to keep him company. Leopards 2028!!

Pssst! (waves Mijin over and points)

Unless you just wanted to bring up that asshat again, and how he loves Trump more than his wife, which, well, what does that say…

Sorry it’s a long thread, even that was almost 200 posts ago. I did do a search for “wife” but there were a lot of hits.

Well it is a different article, even if it is the DailyMail it does offer some additional information to the earlier Raw Story link.

The part that got me was his criticism of the conditions his wife is facing in confinement seeming “inefficient”. He can’t criticize it as inhumane, as that would be woke, after all. The wrong people are being hurt.

Also the “if only comrade Stalin knew” bit is pretty juicy. You see after all, Trump was just recently handed ICE, he can’t be blamed for its current ineffiencies. Once ICE grows the beard and starts hurting the right people, everything should be good!

I am sure if they had given him a little more time to string it together he could have laid it all on Biden.

Posted in another thread:

[Judge] Hollander wrote that DOGE “essentially engaged in a fishing expedition at SSA, in search of a fraud epidemic, based on little more than suspicion,” and “never identified or articulated even a single reason for which the DOGE Team needs unlimited access to SSA’s entire record systems.”

I came here to post about this guy. They will just decide they never really needed their faces in the first place and besides, the leopard doesn’t know this is happening.

Cherry-farming Trump voter in northern Michigan may lose her family farm because the Trump team cancelled her USDA grant.

“I was expecting to see a drastic turnaround for the better for my farm because the Republicans have always been for the American farmer."

IOW, “How could they do this to meeeeee?”

Boo-hoo hoo.

“overseas workers” what could that possibly mean…

What a great racket. Hire aliens to harvest your crops using Federal grant money. Sounds a lot like corporate welfare to me. For vey small corporates. I thought Rs were against those kinds of handouts to the undeserving.

Silly me.

I think the hope was they would get deported just after they did the work, but before they got paid. That’s the conservative dream there.

Parents of unvaxxed child who died of measles say that measles not as bad as media says. Their kid being dead isn’t that bad, leopards rejoice.

From the story:

The Texas parents of an unvaccinated 6-year-old girl who died from measles Feb. 26 told the anti-vaccine organization Children’s Health Defense in a video released Monday that the experience did not convince them that vaccination against measles was necessary.

“She says they would still say ‘Don’t do the shots,’” an unidentified translator for the parents said. “They think it’s not as bad as the media is making it out to be.”
