I don’t think the average MAGAss is capable of that much introspection. They’d probably blame their incarceration / torture / Room 101 on Goldstein George Soros.
How hard did you look? Did you ask anyone?
In days of yore, it undoubtedly involved more effort to locate the books. But with today’s internet?
I’ve long since ceased to be amused by folk who are involved in legal matters and act surprised that there are actually rules to be followed.
Actually my idea came up decades ago from my late wife’s misadventures as a volunteer legal aid attorney 40 years ago.
So many people do the @Saint_Cad or worse and parlay a parking ticket into a felony because they suck at what the kids now call “adulting”.
My thought was that the elite would keep adding complexity beneficial to them that they could navigate until Joe or Jane Average was faced with something they could not even begin to navigate.
If we were almost there in the 1980s we’re certainly there in the 2020s.
Whether a reactionary fascist revolution is a reasonable response to this situation is a different question. I don’t think it is, but I can play the current game pretty well. The folks who can’t get a vote too.
I’ve heard the MAGAs screaming, “Lets go back to way it used to be” so much.
They can’t “adult” now. Because we have rules. Forget about laws. I mean moral and humane rules.
How do they think they could navigate how it used to be? In the late 19th century, early half of the 20th things were bad folks. Diseases, courts and police were corrupt. Business leaders just did what they wanted to employees.
Only people in the rarified air of mucho billions were happy and safe. Except they sqandered it on drugs and too much excess.
Much was achieved to raise us up out of that. No, not all of it.
If we all get on the same page, things are better now. Tech has really done alot to help us.
I personally don’t want to go back to the good ol’ways. I like a vintage thing or two. Stuff my Granny did.
I like it just fine in this century.
Those Mother Fuckers!!
Sarah Huckabee Sanders’ face is starting to smell good to the leopards. But what did she expect when she said this during Biden’s term (not long before she accepted his help):
Enjoy getting what you wanted, dumbass.
You mean it doesn’t?
I’ve been doing it all wrong all these years.
That Biden reacted positively within 48 hours after a previous storm and we are now almost 6 weeks after the latest storms and nothing from Trump is so schadenfreudey. Sucks for the minority of the people that live there that voted correctly, but the majority voted to have their faces eaten.
By their own logic, God is punishing them with natural disasters, for their evil sinning ways.
No, that’s not how it works. If a disaster strikes a Liberal area, God is punishing the people who live there for being sinful. If a disaster strikes a Conservative area, it’s just a natural disaster, not God’s punishment for anything.
You have this 1/2 wrong. From every fundamentalist I know, if I don’t like you, God is punishing you. If I like you, God is testing you.
I thought they were caused by Democrat-controlled weather machines.
And teh abortion gays.
I asked one of the Trump-voters at work how his portfolio is doing. He said he has made so much money. How’d he pull that off? He’s been buying put options- so counting on the collapse of the American economy. I asked, “Didn’t you say Kamala was going to ruin the economy?” His response was to assure me we’d be at record highs in June.
Did he mean to buy call options?
If not… well, it is going to be a suprise matching the thread titular definition.
CEO billionaire Trump supporter complains that his man’s economic policies are “eroding America’s brand.” What a phrase.
He plans on doing that as the economy turns around under Trumpnomics.
Trump denies aid for Arkansas after storms that killed more than 40 people
Latest denial of disaster funding comes as Trump has repeatedly stated he wants to eliminate FemaGloria Oladipo
Thu 24 Apr 2025 14.20 EDTDonald Trump has denied federal disaster relief funds to the people of Arkansas, which saw dozens of people die from a series of deadly tornadoes last month, as legislators plead for him to reconsider.
More than 40 people have been found dead after a series of tornadoes and severe storms hit Arkansas and neighboring states Mississippi and Missouri in March, according to CNN.
Given the scale of the disaster, the state’s Republican governor, Sarah Huckabee, requested federal disaster aid as a part of an emergency declaration. That request was later denied by the Trump administration.
FWIW Arkansas voted for Trump over Harris 64% - 34%
If Arkansas doesn’t receive FEMA funding, then nobody will.
