Wondering what kind of church, since many seem quite political in sermons and guest speakers these days. The town might be temporarily sad over Ms. Hui, but let’s see how they vote if a third term is allowed. If they really regret, they’ve learned. I wouldn’t bet a waffle on that.

If something doesn’ lead them to question the premise that there’s “gangs coming here in droves” , yeah, I don’t hold up much hope for them. I’d bet that waffle that this community was itself NOT experiencing much issue with “gangs coming here in droves”(*). But they were willing to believe that it was so.
