This. It always defaults to it’s.
No its doesnts.
It is surprisingly easy to mis-train your spellcheck, and also surprisingly hard to un-train it.
Of course that is specific to your OS and your specific machine. My Android phone has a set of mis-training that is different from that of Edge on my PC. Each of your devices has it’s own idiosyncratic list.
And of course what it has inadvertently learned is the particular typos you often make, but don’t often correct. So that behavior is amplified.
For a lot of reasons, none good IMO, the designers make it very difficult to really know what customizations and adaptations have crept in, nor any easy way to back them out. Either selectively or en masse.
My plan is just to continue to forgive myself and certainly all of you for all the auto-correct faux pas that slip through our combined vigilance.
I switched phones a few months ago, and spellcheck carried over my always capitalized T in Trump, but it still hasn’t learned that maga should be all-caps.
I always write that curse word in all-lowercase. And as infrequently as possible.
Oh, if only this board could send you a notification when a thread gets back on topic. Sigh.
Well, that would take all the sport out of it.
So, like, two nuns walk into a bar…
You would think the second one would have ducked.
Force of habit.

So when a Republican-backed proposal threatens to sell off large sections of public land, including places like Cow Mountain, it’s not just environmentalists raising the alarm. Some of the loudest concerns are coming from the very conservative voters who helped send those politicians to Washington.
A bunch of fucking idiots.
Another:
Correa expressed disappointment in President Donald Trump, whom he voted for, believing he would target only violent criminals. As a U.S. Army member, Correa feels betrayed by the administration’s actions.
“It is exhausting. Putting my life on the line for this country wasn’t an easy decision. Honestly, I just feel betrayed,” he said.
A video captured the moment Guardado arrived in Honduras. While she is now free, Correa can only communicate with her through video calls until they reunite.
What a way to meet the leopard.
My paln is to jsut kep bastadizng the langauge.
How anyone related in any way to a non-citizen, documented or not, could have voted for this authoritarian clown is beyond me.
I know lots of people who came to this country (or Canada) illegally and have since gotten their status adjusted either by amnesty or marriage (sometimes questionable) who voted for Trump and bleat on about people “having the right to come here, but must do it the right way.”
“I got mine; pull up the ladder” is a very common human failing.
See also: “A conservationist is someone who built their cabin in the woods last year.”
Yeah. “Fuck y’all, I got mine”. A lot of exclusionary tendencies come from that.
I don’t understand why they can’t text or write letters.
Because her family was deported, not banished from the current millennium.
