Surprises coming for voters for the Leopards-Eating-Faces Party

And that’s really the punchline. The Forces of Evil have largely perfected fooling.

That much of their audience were fools to begin with certainly helped them gain early traction. But now that they’re up to speed, they can suck in a heck of lot of folks beyond just the utter fools.

An important point to bear in mind.
As far as THEY are concerned, WE are the ones being fooled by Trump Derangement Syndrome. No matter what. If they are suffering, it’s because of something entirely beyond anyone’s power to avoid or because WE are unreasonably refusing to do things the Trump way.

Yup. And by the amestream media and their explicitly America-hating agenda.

So anyway, getting back to Leopards-Eating-Faces…

When I saw this headline I thought it would be about someone who had no reason to believe they had a face - but no. This idiot had previously been threatened by a face eating leopard and was actively seeking to negotiate not to have her face eaten by leopards when she voted for the LEFP and persuaded her husband to do the same.

The point I was trying to get across is that Trump, who loves to brag about his Ivy League Penn business degree, has more failed business ventures than I can recall, while there are undoubtly vast numbers of successful people without high levels of education or creditials who are a lot more business savvy than Trump.

Trump was born on third base with a silver spoon in his mouth and thinks he scored a touchdown all on his own merit.

I doubt he’s doing the Wharton School at Penn any favours.

“Go to the Wharton School at Penn? Hell, no! I want to go to a school that doesn’t turn out such lousy businessmen!”

Wharton: “Trump? Never heard of him.”

Now, I’m not one for sports analogies, but … :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

No, I get it. And it works. We could go on, with all kinds of sports things, given that Trump is as addled as he is.

Trump gets the puck for a breakaway on the goalie and scores a three-pointer!

Trump has the ball on the thirty … the twenty … the ten … home run!

“I want to congratulate the Kansas City Chiefs on their Stanley Cup triumph!”

Well yes; ever hear the term “Gentleman’s C”? The son of a wealthy family won’t be allowed to fail college, no matter how stupid, lazy or inattentive they are.

Trump of course being a total narcissist would never acknowledge that, especially to himself. His every success is due to his awesome genius, not privilege.

So yeah, “born on third base, thinks he hit a triple”.

In Kansas, according to the New York Times, “about 80 percent of those on the high plains voted for Mr. Trump and agriculture makes up almost half of the state’s economy.”

But this administration had to gut the food aid program that was keeping many Kansas farmers afloat, because it was also keeping overseas brown people alive.

Grain farmer Vance Ehmke recently had the front of his head chewed off by a big spotted cat. He has this to say:

Mr. Ehmke is a registered Republican, and says that for a Kansas farmer, “changing how you vote is, honest to God, like changing your religion.” But America’s farm sector is already shrinking, and he says Mr. Trump’s moves are bringing that bleak future to pass “a hell of a lot quicker. So I am pissed at him.”

And many of them, having had their faces chewed on quite thoroughly, will look deep in their souls, consider all that has come to pass, and come next election day, vote for the Leopards again.

Sure, not all of them, but more than anybody could dream possible given how well the Leopards have feasted to date.

Yeah and part of it is by 26/28 there will have been time to, as Mitch McC put it, “get over it”, and the realization “OMG I was dependent on a Liberal aid program” will have transposed into “damn Lib policies they got me addicted and that’s why I’m in pain”. (Or into “damnit no don’t tax anyone to restore those policies!”)

As that fellow in the report said, to them it’s like changing your religion. Notice the fatalist angle, that this speeded up an already foreordained decline. They can’t bear to say they could have avoided it.

Last term they just upped subsidies to farmers. With borrowed money, of course. I’m betting that’s what will happen this time.

Well, all the bad things that have happened to Trump voters since January are the fault of Democrat obstructionists in Congress, woke state and local politicians and the Biden administration. Once the swamp is fully cleared out, good times for everybody!

This is EXACTLY what will happen again. I know a fair amount of Kansas farmers, including several relatives. They will rail against SNAP and Medicaid, but they will cash their ever-growing government checks without fail. And they will vote Republican until the day they die.

Which will come sooner because they keep voting Republican.

I think a lot of these knucklehead voters just blame “the government” and don’t bother putting 2 and 2 together. And Republicans are just fine with large chunks of the population thinking the government sucks. Allows a quicker descent into privatization.

Very much this ^^^^. Thank you Ronnie Reagan.

That’s one of the things that led to, “Oh let’s elect a businessman to the Presidency instead of a nasty, evil politician!” Darn, forgot to qualify that with “a successful businessman.”

OTOH, I wouldn’t mind Warren Buffet as president… He seems pretty sharp.
