I can’t scroll through nearly 4,000 posts to see if this was posted upthread, but that guy may face an ultimate fate similar to Russell Bentley’s.
I read about this a while back and check their YouTube channel occasionally to see how it’s going. It seems the husband couldn’t figure out how to support his family there without joining up, though, of course, he spouts the propaganda whole-heartedly. Wife doesn’t seem to be doing so great. They can’t afford a car even with military pay which makes it difficult for her to get a job. None of them speak Russian. Apparently whatever research they did before moving there was not very comprehensive. But it’s not woke!
My personal take - based on scanty information so I could be wrong - is that the man wasn’t so much “duped” into signing up for a combat role as not realizing that the Russian government pretty much views everyone outside a small group of elite Russians as cannon fodder. It’s always been that way with the Russian military, but these “not-Woke” folks apparently did not do the research before moving to another country. If the government thinks about them at all it’s about the propaganda value of an American moving to Russia and joining the army.
Move to another country to live there when you don’t know the language? Well, better start learning.

This is why i didn’t pursue Portuguese citizenship when they were still selling rather affordable golden visas. I don’t think i can learn Portuguese.
Really, there’s little that’s wise for kids than having idiots for parents.

Of course that entire political movement continues to scream at the top of its lungs about how much “woke” is an unstoppable force and only ever-greater sacrifices will enable our heroic white supremacist bullies to prevail. Every day the news is the same: Oh Noes, we’re still losing the battle against “woke”.
However, since he’s actually drunk the kool aid, I’m sure he will continue to say that life in America is worse because they force children to become trans and autistic there, while engaging in a purge of white christians etc.
No evidence of his actual eyes and ears could be as bad as the monsters in the memes.
In the near future, I think he’s more likely to say something like, “oh shit that hurts, fuck, wait how do you say medic in Russian? fuck there’s so much blood, gurgle gurgle.”
