Surprises coming for voters for the Leopards-Eating-Faces Party

Well, that’s the essence of the Leopard-Eating-My-Face situation. It’s like bitterly condemning water for being damp.

Yeah. A lot of these people suffered from the delusion that Trump would only persecuted the people they hated. And get shocked when they discover that they are among the targets.

A lot of bigots seem convinced that their prejudices are obvious, objective truths, and that therefore not only does everyone “know” they are right, but other bigots share those specific prejudices. Which among other things means that brown people who hate other brown people often look at white nationalists and assume that they like them only hate the bad brown people. A lot of Trump’s non-white support apparently came from people like that.

If that sounds stupid, well, there’s a rather large overlap between “bigot” and “stupid”.

What these people don’t get is that EVERYONE is on The List of Scapegoats and Leopard Food. The only question is where on The List a particular person is.

Fiqy appeared with CNN’s Victor Blackwell, who asked Fiqy whether he regretted voting for Trump. Fiqy said he didn’t.

“No, I don’t regret my vote because I see politics through a conservative prism, and I still have conservative values and see politics through that lens,” he said. “But I withdraw all connections from the Minnesota GOP for not standing up for the Somali community.

If only Comrade Stalin knew, he would never have let this happen. I blame the party apparatchiks.

He’s angling for a spot in the Trump administration, he’s stupid enough, so he’s qualified.

Sounds to me like code for “I thought the leopards were only going to eat the queer people’s faces!”

The poem doesn’t include the line “…then they came for the Somali community”, so he thought he’d be all right.

Secretary of Shithole States, one would presume. Trump would, of course, expect a Somali to know all about the other shithole countries like Iran, Pakistan, Libya, and the like. I mean, one shithole is as good as another? It’s like all those Mexican countries in South America.

Pretty weak sauce for the leopards, but they’ll take what the can get:

Color me surprised Ramaswamy didn’t get booed off the stage.

Fingers crossed (1) this sticks, (2) the staffers are unsuccessful in trying to reconstitute under Pence, and (3) the Federalist Society will be next down the drain:

Fuck ‘em.

I’m afraid it’s just metastasizing into something more openly bigoted and evil.

IDK. Sometimes I think Nazis marching down the street might be preferable to Nazis in the basement. Some people need the visual cues before the threat will register.

Right wing billionaires can only dig so many bunkers and launch so many yachts. Foundations must be funded to advance their interests.

Well put. And easier targets.

And, it appears that since they have more money that anyone could spend, they turn their eye to - hate, bigotry and racisum. Their true colors come out. To put it simply, those colors are black and white.

The only ‘colors’ in their lives.

Not all rich people are this way. But many are it seems.

I feel the same way when I see a red hat. It’s good to know who the assholes are.

Nearly everybody in my area is MAGA. They assume everybody else locally is MAGA, and they are mostly correct. There’s no need for them to differentiate themselves with headwear to declare which team they root for. They automatically assume you’re MAGA too and leave you alone as long as you keep your mouth shut..

I was at a local flea market this afternoon here in Arkansas, a county that went 77% to Trump in 2024. When I walked in, the proprietor and several friends/family members were sitting around a table chewing the fat. As I perused the shelves, I couldn’t help but follow their conversation which was all about the cost of health insurance. The proprietor complained that her husband’s premiums increased to $800 per month, so she cancelled it. One of the men mentioned high cost led him to cancel as well, but luckily he was only 38 and probably had a few years before he needed health insurance anyway (knock on wood).

These folks understood exactly why their premiums were going up, mentioning Trump by name. I don’t know if these people voted for Trump, but I’m bringing it up because it’s the first time I’ve ever gone somewhere here in public and heard Arkansans openly complaining about him.
