The only thing they’re more scared of than what trump is actually doing to them, is what Faux et all have told them Democrats will do to them.

Which if you ask them they won’t be able to really explain and they’ll default to “just LOOK at what they’re doing, man!” Which will be a whole mishmash of anecdotal claims about free shoplifting, poop in the streets, middle school sex changes, freebies to illegals, sharia, “press 1 for English”, pronouns, banning gas cars, etc.
What I think is the real fundamental fear planted in them is one of extinction and erasure. That the society their grandchildren grow up in will be too different, so their ways will perish, because their grandchildren will not just grow up to not be the same identity they are but will repudiate and condemn it (and demand they do so too if they’re still around).
AKA “They will stop us from being racist assholes! Can’t abide that!”
And if you tell them that society changing is how it’s always been, they’ll scoff at you.
At best they’ll tell me THAT is the problem. Or “but not on the IMPORTANT things!”
