Energy costs being higher than mortgage costs blows my mind. My mortgage costs are about 9 times my combined gas and electric costs!
My property tax bill is four times my heating oil, water and electric bills combined. And I live in a place with very high utilities costs.
That aligns with my ratio here in Arkansas as well. There are a few months out of the year where my engery costs are pretty good because it’s neither particularly hot nor particularly cold.
A 1000SF bungalow has the same utility needs in rural WV as in a metro big city at the same latitude. They paid 15K for their house 28 years ago. Somebody in e.g. Saint Louis paid $300K four years ago for the same house.
The point isn’t that that lady’s utilities are high in an absolute sense. It’s that her monthly mortgage payment is negligible.
Yes that’s what I was assuming. If my energy costs were to get as high as my mortgage payment currently is, I would be totally screwed.
I’m firmly in the ‘everything I know about the Kardashians, I learned against my will’ camp. However, I did watch the I Am Cait show. I made it few episodes in and gave up because she was so, stupidly, blind to everything Trump stands for. Her friends on the show even told her to stop talking about Trump because it was pissing people [viewers] off. I don’t know why she was so enamored with him, but she certainly was.
She was a lost cause when Trump tried to appeal to…I’m not actually sure…and made the statement that Caitlyn could use any bathroom she wants on his properties. Caitlyn understood that to mean “All LGBTQ+ people are allowed to use any bathroom anywhere and this is a huge step forward for the community”. The rest of the world said “No, he said YOU can use any bathroom, he didn’t say anything about anyone else”.
Or something like that, it was a long time ago.

I mean, why would she be expected to blame Trump for something that he promised he would do, then went ahead and did on his first day back in office?
So she does not blame Trump when he personally treats her like garbage, and by his very actions has made it so she can’t travel internationally because it’s not safe.
And then says she loves him.

It’s possible she is being politic. Quite obviously one way you manipulate Trump is to shower him with insincere compliments and praise and pretend to love him.
And the MAGA policy is people like Jenner should be dead. Not only don’t they like trans people, they want them dead. It’s not a secret, or a misunderstanding.
I don’t get it. When she’s up against the wall, she’ll be crying, “But I love trump!”

Don’t discount the possibility that Jenner will not be up against the wall if she sucks up to Trump.
