Sure, I actually believe in most of the things the Democrats stand for, but I can see someone not doing so. But to so disagree with Democrats that you’re willing to destroy your own life. Nope, can’t wrap my head around it.
If the Democrats had something in their platform that would likely destroy my life, I wouldn’t vote for them.

Here’s the thing. In the picture of the Democrats that is painted by RW propaganda, that is exactly what the D’s stand for: destroying the lives of all ordinary hard-working honest (White) Americans. While trump & the Rs stand for defending all they hold dear.
The problem is not that your typical trumpist voted against their actual interests. Although they certainly did so.
The problem was (and still is, and will continue to be for decades) that they were/are so thoroughly bamboozled that they had no idea what the reality of either party’s plans were. They’re so drunk on the RW Kool Aid they can’t tell right from wrong or up from down.
That’s probably where my despair comes from. There just seems to be no way to overcome this.
What will it take for these folks to actually say they wouldn’t vote again for Trump? Being sent to Guantanamo? Nah, he’d probably just furrow his brow and somehow blame Biden.

Yeah. I know a guy who watches RW media (and Cops) during what seems all his free time. He’s crowing constantly about the Trump “Golden Age” that’s upon us.
He’s seems like a familar Trump voter in that he’s an older (in his 60’s), white guy with only a high school education. He also doesn’t have much of a personal retirement plan from his blue collar work history and has SNAP and Medicaid benefits.
Despite being almost exactly the type of person who’s going to get screwed by Trump, he doesn’t see it and goes on and on about how Trump is going to Make America Great (and Healthy) Again, own those criminal and corrupt libs, and save the country from Chinese World Domination.
Joined by that special type of leftist that would make the point that ‘Biden could have shut Guantanamo down, so we should blame Biden for this first!’
It will take a critical percentage of their fellow Trump supporters turning against him. For many of these people, turning against Trump means turning against friends and family. They risk becoming a pariah and that’s tough to do.
Very true. Until then, Trump will kick them squarely in the nuts and with tears in their eyes they’ll say “thank you sir, may I have another!”
Until they each personally suffer some crippling consequence of trumpism they will continue to spew the party line. it’s only when they and nearly everyone around them has been most surely, directly, and undeniably screwed that they will begin to wake up.
Even Goebbels, the patron saint of fantasy propaganda, could not keep most of the German citizens on-side after several years of privation, death of their family members, and the constant slow rain of allied bombardment had raised questions in the minds of the followers. But it took that much of a wake-up call to get through to people. Some of whom were still cheering the Nazis on when word filtered out that Hitler was dead and the war was over.

So I did a financial review of his franchise (it’s not good… not horrible, but not good), put it on my YouTube channel, sent him a link, got blocked, life is good because while I might be stupid, at least I’m not the one 7-figures in debt because I purchased a 10yr indentured servitude contract which has a Spousal Liability clause all to ‘buy’ a business in which I have zero equity.
