You can just come out and say that you think he’s gay instead of putting in the bullshit quotation marks. He’s not. He’s also dated women not in the spotlight too. He is a very private person. That doesn’t equal gay. In an interview he said that being gay is nothing to be ashamed of and if he was he would have no reason to hide it or lie about it. He was 100% believable.

However, I doubt that happened either, since the show was pitched to TV execs before Ohanian and Williams started dating, AFAICT.
I assumed the quotation marks were around Gilbert being gay, although apparently she hadn’t come to terms with it herself when they first started dating.
So what? I personally know at least five women who dated men and later came out, as well as three men who came out after they had married and fathered children.
None of them used quotation marks to describe their heterosexual experiences.
Yeah you’re probably right. Shows and their plots are usually written to completion the day they are pitched and nothing ever gets added during production.

The quotes were also around “relationship” with regards to Cuoco. The only people who insist that their multi-year relationship was fake are those who assume he is gay strictky because his mannerisms are less than macho. It he’s gay he is really bad at it.
