Maybe you’re right, but I cannot think of another episode where a player who was basically a non-entity engineered a sucessful coup against a player who was the dead-solid favorite to win the whole thing. .
There have been other dicussions and opportunities (one a couple of weeks ago), but only Amanda has been able to lead one to success. Thinking it up doesn’t mean squat - acyually making it happen is the only thing that counts.
Remember, Amanda has never had, and unlikely to ever have immunity. If she pulls off this win, she will have played the game masterfully.
Aww James. Compared to last season’s African-American titan, Dre, who “bit the apple” and just couldn’t maintain his integrity by selling out Yao Man, I think James had both the physical AND mental prowess to go far. I don’t think James would have ever been tempted to sell out his alliance.
I thought his final speech was very classy. No hard feelings, no bitterness.
Courtney and Todd annoy me to no end.
Gooo Denise. She’s such a salt of the earth kind of lady and probably one of the few I would have actually bonded with.
I thought it was odd that Amanda showed her favoritism to Erik in front of Todd. I think Denise, etc. ought to get wise to the fact that Erik and Amanda like each other. Blocks of 2 are very powerful and much harder to penetrate than bigger blocks. Think Rudy/Richard, Jenna/Heidi, Rob/Amber, Tina/Colby.
Possibly. It’s not like those rules are written down anywhere, so really, the true answer is: Whatever the producers felt like doing that generated the most drama.
Although the last three times it’s happened, they’ve first voted again. If the results are still tied, then the fire is used. Now, they could have changed that without announcing it, but the assumption is that it would be as it’s been the last four (five?) seasons.
I can’t imagine how much I would be kicking myself if I was voted off while still having TWO immunity idols. It boggles my mind. I would not be able to sleep at night. But I thought James had a good parting speech.
As for Courtney, yeah, she’s extremely thin, but I think she’s still light years better looking than the other “Skeletor” from a few seasons ago: Heidi. Bleah… I think the thing I like about Courtney is that it’s obvious she watches the show and she’s blunt about it at times. I think my favorite Courtney moment (a few shows back) was when she walked over to the water and said “I am also coming over here to ‘get some water’,” and did the air quotes. (quote from memory, but that was the gist of it.)
I don’t THINK that would affect it. All the HII does is sweep the votes for the HII holder from the board. Any votes for people other than the HII holder would count as if they were the only votes cast. Which means that a tie after a played HII would be run just as if it were a tie on a regular vote.
But I’m not an employee of CBS or Mark Burnett Productions so I couldn’t definitely say.
Please, don’t compare James to Dre. Dre was total garbage and it showed every episode. James just happened to make a stupid mistake (twice), but he was a great guy.
And remember that PG came up with the same plan. The last thing that Amanda wants is for PG running around trying to get votes for the fait accompli and possibly tipping of James in the process.
