Now, let me get this straight: Todd gives James the first HII, and tells him where to find the second one, and he’s pissed that James won’t give him one back? Why didn’t he just keep the first one and tell James where to find the second one? Oh yeah, I forgot–because Todd is batshit crazy! I seriously think he’s the next to go.

I think that after the merge, he should have approached James quicky and friendly and said “hey, buddy, plan worked like a charm, gimme my idol back and let’s win this game” and James would have obliged. It is only lack of self confidence that cost him the II.

I’ll do a recap.
This leaves Denise without a team, and thus without a chance to win reward, so once again the power alliance takes an opportunity to let the folks lower down in their pecking order know exactly where they stand. .

To me, this looked totally unfair to poor Denise, and I am ashamed of Probst and company.
Rockle, do you get Comcast cable? It’s on OnDemand.

He should have. I think that James could have done a lot to cement his relationship with Todd at the merge by offering up one of the immunity idols. Now I think it might be too late for him to go back to Todd and offer it up. Todd just seems way too wrapped up in paranoia and scheming at this point.
I disagree. James is in a position of power and there is absolutely no need to dilute it based on the impression that Todd is trustworthy. Although Todd looks rational on the surface, he’s revealing himself to be a paranoid over-schemer. That’s not a person I would trust to watch my back. You could give Todd back an idol and be repaid with a blind-siding, since Todd could easily figure you’re his main threat at the million dollars.
Better to either openly reveal your idols, cement together a strong alliance, and announce your willingness to give your “extra” idol to someone in your alliance who needs it. This ensures the Pagonging continues unabated as your own alliance does not feel vulnerable to a swing vote if you are there to protect them.
As always, information is key, so make friends with folks on the fringe (such as Denise, Eric and Frosti) so they narc on people trying to switch things up.

Plus, in the last two episodes, after Todd has brought his “new plan” to Amanda, the producers have cut to a confessional with Amanda where she says “Todd is losing it, I don’t trust him.”
Amanda will go with James (who has proven solid) over Todd in hopes she can convince him to give her an Idol if she’s in danger. This is also a savvy jury move because Todd would appreciate the gamesmanship of it while James might be angered at the backstabbing.
what are you waiting for?

OK, I saw it finally, and I have to say: storyteller0910’s recap was spot on. I don’t have much to add except that I usually like the guy who comes thisclose but doesn’t actually win (examples: Ian, Rafe). Although usually they don’t get the Space Madness until waaaaaay later in the game, when there are only about 6 people left. Todd is going crazy a little earlier than usual. And while I am immensely conflicted as to where I want him to end up finishing, at least his kind of crazy might be entertaining for a few more weeks.
