I would imagine if it’s not done already it will be very soon. Jeff said they’re taking applications for Survivor 7 now.
It’s done, about a week ago.
Yay, Brian!
I agree. Brian played a good game, and I really respect Helen’s vote for him most of all. (DANG, that girl looks hot).
Also, mad props to CBS/MB for having Jeffie host this time. Best. Reunion. Ever.
These stupid women like Erin and Penny who vote on things like “ooh, he lied fewer times” and “oh, he didn’t bother to get to know me, waaaaaaahhh” drive me nuts. It’s a freakin’ game, not a social gathering. Like NWR posted above, lots of respect to Helen for her vote on who played the best.
AAAAAAAAUUUUUUUGGGGGGGHHHHHHH
My in-laws were here for dinner. “No problem,” says I, “I’ll record the finale on TiVo.”
Of course, I don’t care about the reunion, so I just record the two hour episode. 7:00-9:00 CT.
Everyone has their final say. Everyone votes. Jeff says, “I’ll go tally the votes.” BONG! End of recording!:smack:
Now, I gather from the posts above that Brian won, perhaps handily. Not a shocker. But I missed it.
why, oh why, couldn’t Jan and Helen voted for Clay?
4-3, Brian over Clay. And the post-game show was actually pretty good.
OMG! I can’t believe Stephanie’s audition! and Jeff’s glee at embarassing her on national T.V. Kiss my fish indeed.
I’m beginning to think the final show should be one hour and the reunion show should be two hours. Jeff is an ideal host for the reunion show since he really knows all the in game dirt and machinations.
I thought Penny was hiliarous, everything is ALWAYS about her! Shi Ann and Helen cleaned up beautifully, looking great is the best revenge!
I wanted Jeff’s final question to John to be, “so, that joke about the water hole, is it funny now?”
I thought the finale was one of the best ones. The jury questions were the best ever, nice and bitter - definitely the highlight of a lackluster season. I liked how CC, Brian’s wife that attacked him, showed up to cry for him winning the million. True love!!
Probst was a great reunion host too. I liked how he basically called Ted, Helen, and Jan morons (which they are).
Tanya’s hacking made me want to die. Ghandia looked pretty decent and actually sounded sincere in her apology. I don’t even see why they had the preacher dude show up; what a loser.
So WTF was the ‘racism’ thing that Ted and the policeman were so steamed about? Ted said he heard something from Helen, and Probst never followed up and asked Helen what was said. Policeguy probed Brian on this, and declared he hadn’t told the truth. Apparently Clay must’ve said the ‘N’ word or something.
My take is:
Ted is SUCH a bigger dope than I had originally thought. 1st of all, he makes a huge accusation on national TV no less about Clay and racism. This was outrageous to me. I wonder if he can be sued over defamation on something like this. He really went off the deep end and then when he’s questioned about it…he says “I don’t know why I did that”. He came off so incredibly weak that it blew me away. What a complete jerk. If I was Clay I would have DEMANDED an apology right then and there.
Jan…poor Jan. Sure she’s a little wacky but she’s got a good heart. She may not have realized there was a million dollars at stake…let’s give her a break.
Helen…what a bitter hag. Sorry but she was Brian’s “Ace in the Hole”, not Jan. Helen didn’t realize that Brian played the ultimate “Survivor” tactics on her. She was outlasted, outplayed and SERIOUSLY outwitted. I love it how absolutley stunned she was that she was chucked weedside at the first SC. Did she really think she was remotely going to the final 3? If that’s not bad enough, she goes on a tear (ala Susan on the 1st season) about trust. Note to Helen: if you felt threatened enough to keep the sand conspiracy away from Brian, don’t expect him to understand it was about Clay and not him when he busted you about it…he’s only interested in himself and you didn’t tell him what was going on! Trust goes both ways, you dingbat. Personally, I knew this lady wasn’t worth her salt when she continually had trouble in the water and she’s a Navy swimming instructor !. Clay should have reminded her that he saved the tribe during the underwater/snorkel test whereas she let everyone down as usual. Maybe it’s me, but she really left a bad taste in my mouth. I’m of the opinion that if you get played…then you have no right to bitch and throw a hissy fit about “ethics” in the order in which it goes down. It’s a GAME.
Clay: I was pulling for him. Yeah, he’s a little abrasive but he wasn’t as sneaky over the long haul. You either liked him or you didn’t…simple as that.
Brian: Well played. Should have been booted a couple of shows ago but the other three didn’t know what to think without Brian telling them so…congrats.
The challenges were boring, but what a great tribal councel ! The reunion show was good too. Jeff did a great job. Yeah Brian !
Ooh, Glory, that’s a great idea… even if they have to lengthen the season by a week to fit it all in. then we should see Final 3 from 8-9 (cutting out the crappy 15 minutes of boredom with the F2 doing absolutely nothing) and then reunion show with Jeffie from 9 to 11. No more cutting to the live without telling us though. Did anyone believe that Clay had gained so much weight in 5 minutes, or that Brian and Helen had washed and cut their hair?
Was anyone else annoyed by whoever was coughing? I swear it was grating on my nerves…I know that whoever it was probably couldn’t have helped it, but all the same.
Or maybe I was the only to hear the coughing, which was going on during the final wrap-up show at the end.
To be honest, I didn’t think that much of Clay, I thought he coasted, that is until I heard what he did with Penny. I thought that was pretty good and also changed my opinion of him somewhat.
It was Tanya, the 2nd one voted out from CG who was coughing so much. I felt bad when Jeff asked her about her father, though.
And I hated Penny’s vote for Clay based on the fact the he got to know her better. That was shitty, IMO, since she asked Brian specific questions, but then gave Clay the opportunity to just say what he knew about her. They were only together a few days!
That fits in with voting someone off for “not needing the money.”
And Robbbbb is still a jerk. I wish they had showed the clip where he said they only lost because of the rules. That was priceless.
And Stephanie’s audition tape? Holy cow, I bet they were expecting a lot more from her than just sitting around and sleeping by herself on the beach. When he showed the first little snippet of it and said, “Too bad that girl never showed up,” I didn’t even realize it was her.
Helen was really bitter. At the first TC after she was voted out, she couldn’t even look at them. She sat turned away from them, and barely glanced at them. She still seemed mad at the reunion.
I’d also like to see one big tribe, or the long-rumored three tribes next time. He did mention some sort of twist this time around. One big tribe, with everyone competing individually for immunity would be better for a change.
Not too shocking, really. Once Ted was booted, I knew Brian had it. It’d be hard to play much better than he did.
I was surprised the final vote was so close, though.
Helen complaining about being stabbed in the back was hilarious. Didn’t she do the same thing to Ted? Remember, it’s a game Helen.
Clay blowing off Helen in the final vote was great!
“There’s nothing I can say that will satisfy you, so I won’t say anything”
LOL!
Did anyone else notice that the cop guy, what’s his name, had his eyebrows plucked? Or shaped? wtf? it’s not like he had a unibrow or a cro-magnon thing going before!
Helen being bitter was funny as she did stab Ted in the back, and was willing to vote out Jan. She played a horrible wishy-washy game. She flat out did not deserve to win.
Jan might be one of the worst, least deserving players ever. She never had a clue the entire show.
Brian just about lost the game with his crappy performance on the questions. Ouch. If Helen didn’t get over herself in time, or Clay came up with a better excuse for his laziness, Clay has the million.
Still, the right result in the end, even if Brian is a bit of a smug jerkoff.
Other then Helen’s antics, the show was very, very predictable and a bit boring. And the amount of commercials seemed truly staggering.
Here’s hoping they make so major changes as the show is getting stale fast.
I did the same 2 hr thing with the tape. Was fencing from 7-9, so I told my kid to start the tape at 7. Figured I’d pop a 2d tape in when I got home just after 9. Mine cut out at the exact same moment: “I’ll go tally the votes.” 2d tape began after B had already won. Favorite line, Jeff’s prior: “I’ll go tally the vote.” Just don’t take too long, okay?
So what was the cop getting on B’s ass about concerning Ted. Did B try to play a racist card to manipulate him? B sure took some pretty wicked shots during the questions/speeches. I thought he should have been more up front in response to H - “I’m sorry I lied to you, and I valued your friendship, but I felt i needed to do that to get here. It is fine and good for some of you to talk about integrity, but you’ll notice you are on the jury instead of in the money.” Instead of his lame, “You had me scared and mad” response.
Gee, really a surprise that B could outlast C and J in that final challenge.
Clay is the feisty little bastard, isn’t he?
Someone teach J how to apply makeup?
This was better than the last couple of final shows.
Hell, I’ll watch the next one. So minty, got your audition tape in yet?
Any guesses as to what the cop was trying to get
No kidding! When the buddy you stabbed in the back asks you why you did it, and why you lied to her face about it right down to the last minute, the correct answer is this: “Because you would have beat me, Helen.” None of this “Writing in the sand, you betrayed me” nonsense. It turns out he had Helen’s vote anyway, but he almost blew it. And his opening statement was terrible. You’d think people who reach the final jury vote would spend some time thinking about what they want to say, and how to pitch it so the jury to get their vote, but so few of them seem to do any thinking about that at all.
