This morning on the Early Show they announced the list of castaways for Survivor 5.

It looks like the new cast is going to be really easy on the eyes. Brian, Ken and Robb are pretty hot. It also looks like maybe the tribes will be split into men and women.
I’ve always liked Survivor, but I begining to think that maybe it’s getting a little old now. I wonder if this will be the last.

I think the bartender thing is probably just an in-between job for those who really want to be actors.

It starts September 19th. I thought it wasn’t on until November, for some reason. Yea!
Just browsing through the cast, they seem to have an awful lot of southerners in this one, and four of the 16 are from Texas. Also, they finally broke the Asian female barrier.

Have you taken a look at some of their luxury items? Apparently Jan can’t rely on her memory, so she’s brought along a picture of her family. I dunno about you guys, but I might go for something a little more useful. Or how about Clay’s item, a golf club and ball? Not balls, but ball. Does he really think he’s gonna have enough energy to chase down a single gold ball over and over? Yech.
DougAB, They aren’t allowed to take anything that might be useful. From what I’ve heard, they make a list of 5 things that they would like to take and then the producers tell them which one thing they can bring with them.
The first real spoiler is out as well.
Tanya has to leave the game because her father died during the filming. He was in a car accident. It is unknown whether or not she was in the game still at this point, but they were near the end of the filming, so it is more unlikely.
Sweet. I fully intend to watch this season’s show. I missed the last two season’s shows due to annoying time constraints. Survivor is pretty much the only reality show I can stand.

Yes, I meant Survivor only. I don’t watch The Mole. It’s just that it’s been noted before that Survivor hasn’t had one yet.
And incidentally, regarding Ms. Shii Ann: that picture of her on the website is not very flattering. But they showed her last night on a preview for the show, and she’s actually quite a cutie.
I agree with Doug on the luxury items. Are they banned from bringing anything worthwhile? I mean, a pair of fuzzy slippers in Thailand during monsoon season is going to become a pair of moldy slippers pretty fast.

I don’t understand your point. So what if he is a NYC cop. The game starts in September, around the 1 year anniversay of 9/11. Why shouldn’t they have a cop and a fireman?
