Survivor: Fiji 05/10

This is definitely my favorite season of Survivor. Hoo boy.

And what a finale! I laughed (when Boo was yelling at Dreamz at the final counsel), I cried (well, okay, not really–but I sure felt like it when Yau was voted off), I wanted to stab Lisi and Rocky a few dozen times… all in all, it was a good ol’ time.

I’m glad Earl won. I’m not glad that Dreamz broke his promise with Yau, although I’m not terribly surprised. Cassandra was definitely lying at the final tribal council (“I kept to my alliances…” BS.) but she didn’t deserve the comments made by Alex, the smarmy asshole. Lisi was, well, insane. And annoying. Not like that’s a surprise or anything.

At the reunion show, when Jeff asked the jury who would’ve voted for Yau if he’d made it to the final three, who didn’t raise their hands? I caught Yau and Stacy, but missed the third person.

And me. Dudes forget (and Yau-man remembered) that there is more to Survivor than the one game. There are possible shots for a “All Stars” show and also dudes get shots at TV shows, etc. Dreamz should have known his chance of winning $1Mega was 0, thus he should have let Yau win, and vastly increased Dreamz chances for post Survivor riches. I mean, now even if he gets a Job interview as **longhair75 **said, what are dudes going to think?

Kind of depends on what position I’d be hiring him for. Obviously, I wouldn’t put him in charge of keeping company secrets or anything, but I can’t say that I’d have a problem working with him. Lots of people work with liars – it’s what you lie about that is of the greatest concern. I think Dreamz lied about planning to renege on the deal the whole time. Other than that, I think he was pretty honest. And he owned up to the fact that he ratted out the Four Horseman on having a HII.

He won’t need a “real” job, anyway. As long as he shows some degree of personal growth about the whole “keeping my word” debacle, he can make a killing on the motivational speaker circuit. He even has an angle already – you can only get so far by never giving up, but you can get even further if you’re a good person, too. (But then again, look at how many “good” people never even got that far on Survivor, and look at how many jerks like Hatch or Heidik got pretty far.)

He lied to make himself appear smarter than he was. Those are the people that always end up getting everybody screwed in a work situation.

I can’t imagine listening to him ramble for two hours in a speach setting, never, ever making a point. Each time he speacks he is playing the odds and trying to come down on both sides of the fence. He could charge for not speaking, that I’d pay for.
