Or maybe they should just get rid of one-challenge episodes. Hate it.
I think a fun rule would be to allow the team with the least people to choose who the other teams need to sit out. It would make for some interesting strategy - do we vote out the strong guy because he’s not going to get to play in the challenges, or do we vote out the weakest because he’ll have to compete in every one? And the drama of not sitting certain people out then watching it blow up in your face when they kick your butt.
I was a bit surprised Dana went home - I would’ve thought she was tough enough that if she had the chance to stay, she would. But it’s hard to tell how much pain someone is going through in those circumstances.
And boy, was Dawson creepy. When she was staring at Probst, I was thinking about the phrase “a woman stares at you with those eyes, she either wants to kill you, or f— you.” Sure enough, she leans in for the kiss and pecks Probst on the cheek at the last second.
In the interview with Abbie, where she was talking about her knee hurting, her right knee looked really swollen–about like Penner’s did before he got medevac’d out… but I think that’s probably not what she’s got going, because I can’t imagine her being in that kind of pain without whining a blue streak and blaming everybody every time they happen to bump into her.
Dana was in the hospital for four days following her evacuation, due to dehydration (not Hollywood starlet-type) and an unnamed infection, on IV fluids and antibiotics. I thought Jeff was very sweet and kind to her, giving her his jacket and holding her shoulders on the ride out. In interviews he in no way thinks of her as a quitter.
I was just about to tell the SO that I’d toss the statue high into the air and knock my opponent’s down, but decided not to. And then Skupin did it.
I thought of this scenario if Dana hadn’t become ill: Abi Normal would not have sat out the challenge. Either her knee hurt (which I did not notice) and she failed in the challenge, or (as I thought last night) she just sucked as a competitor and lost the challenge for the team. This in addition to Dana being a pretty good competitor.
Alan Alda got the puzzle and was scrambling to put it together. It looked like Dawson was working against him, and he was trying to get her to stop while at the same time finishing the puzzle. One more second (or even half a second), and they would have won.
Unfortunately, my DVR Program Guide spoiled the “unprecendented” event. It’s far less interesting than the crapped pants/nut grab guesses in this thread.
During a grueling reward challenge, the two tribes bargain and make a deal to split the rewards.
