When TV series reach End Of Life they follow a pattern: celebrity - wedding - child birth. So, we are well into the celebrity phase, what’s next? a pair meets on the island and they ask Jeff to officiate on day 29? a pregnant participant who delivers during the merge?
I mean, we never get the full explanation the castaways get. My understanding is they give a detailed list of rules and the cast gets to ask questions. But if we saw all that it would take up the whole show.
Did you miss Rob proposing to Amber years ago?
I’m not sure I get all the complaints about this season. All-Stars have always been the exception to the norm. I think this has been one of the best all-stars because all those outside the game relationships existed in the past, they just edited it all out.
I have enjoyed the season (other than the Loved Ones visit). Much better than the last season (Island of the Idols). I like the returning players. The Devil you know is often better than the devil you don’t know. About the only things I remember from last season was Sandra and Rob and the creepy guy who got kicked off the island. I had to go to wiki to remember the dude who won. And we saw that only a few months ago.
Do you really think that? We are watching an edited show. How long was Ben looking before finding it. For all we know, it might have been a 6 hour search before he found it. The telecast would be pretty boring if it all it was players searching for idols. (I am glad that footage is on the cutting room floor)
I do kinda wish idols weren’t out in the open. I’d rather them hide clues to idols hidden at camp or challenges, etc. Or have less idols in general. I want to see more advantages like the “Safety with Power” or the “50/50”
You can ask them but they can refuse to answer or lie.
I’d like more easy-to-find clues to Idols that are hidden in really hard to get places. Like the one under the sleeping platform on Edge Island. Except that went pretty easily, so the editing would lead us to believe.
I’m enjoying this season, and Tony is amazing!
I think my favorite was James in Survivor: China getting the clue that the idol was part of their sign. And then when he got to the other camp figured that their idol was in the same place.
…and then getting voted out with two idols.
Did Amber even try to do the coconut race?
Yeah, they all did at the start. I don’t know why Adam didn’t give up. Once you get one down, you might as well stop.
AAARGH KIM WHY. $2M mistake stepping down for those cookies and PB. So dumb.
Tony is obviously the favorite this point, it’s just a question if he can keep all the plates spinning. He’s doing a good job balancing his different alliances… and has also discovered it’s a lot easier to make moves when you win the immunity necklace. If he makes to the end, he wins; only question is whether the others take him out or not.
If Tony does go home, things look up for Sarah, Jeremy (though he might get in trouble for being on the bottom so much and sticking because others shielded him) and the EoE returnee.
I agree. I was glad that for the whispering that 1) both Jeff and some of the Survivors were starting to get annoyed with it, and 2) they subtitled a lot of it so you could actually tell what was being said. But they really need to have a hard-line rule on what you can say/do when the time comes to interrupt and play advantadges and HIIs.
I agree, and I think that’s probably coming. But yes, it was SO much better to have the whispering subtitled! Night and day.
It would have been cruel, but pretty funny, if no one actually got to eat the food they stepped down for, given that Probst did say they could only eat until the challenge was over–and the process of people stepping down ended the challenge immediately!
Just a reminder that it’s a 2 hour episode tonight (I’m guessing 2 tribals as well)
Perhaps the return from Extinction as well tonight? I hate to see anyone over there go home permanently. My fav. players are definitely over there.
I’m hoping for Yul, Ethan, or Tyson to come back. Probably in that order of preference.
I really hope and expect that the rest of the tribe immediately votes out whoever comes back from Extinction. Because if there’s another Chris Underwood situation, I’ll be very unhappy.
IIRC, On the original EoE, Chris Underwood returned on the finale night. I expect the same thing to happen this season. So two vote-offs tonight to get to 5 players, and then someone to return at the beginning of the finale. Basically starting the finale at 5+1 players.
After the 2nd TC, with 15 minutes to go into the 2 hour episode, I foolishly thought we were going to have the EoE Challenge to get back in the game.
Then we had 15 minutes that were a bigger waste of time since the Loved Ones visit.
Barely an attempt to vote out Sara and Tony?
Yeah, I don’t understand the failure to target them, Tony especially. As I said on Twitter, Michele may have been trying to manipulate Sarah by saying no one can beat Tony at FTC, but that doesn’t mean it’s not true!
Especially if it’s Natalie, given how long she has been there (I would have been okay with Rick Devens winning last time we had EoE). As she bought three advantages, has a bellyful of peanut butter, and might be the best athlete out there, she has a great chance to come back, and of course just like Chris she has a lot of friends on the jury. Her (or anyone who has spent much time on EoE) winning would really ruin an otherwise great season.
Right now though I’m just psyched that Michele won immunity right when she was being targeted for elimination. This is just what happened in the season she won: she went on an immunity run at the end when she needed it. Fingers crossed…
My thoughts on Tony are… Maybe the players think Tony won’t get the jury votes. Otherwise it makes no sense to let him stay.
For me, the perfect finale would be Tony beating Natalie in a close vote. It justifies EoE but doesn’t negate the main game.
The parchment reads:
-
Follow a rope through a fence obstacle and then a post obstacle.
First Advantage: Skip the fence obstacle. -
Dig up a rope rung.
Second Advantage: Skip the dig, rope rung is waiting for you. -
Build a rope bridge and cross it.
Third Advantage: 1/3 of your rope bridge is already completed. -
Maneuver two balls through a table maze.
Two Tokens: Buys you the first advantage.
Four Tokens: Buys you the first and second advantages.
Six Tokens: Buys you all three advantages.
Check how many you would like to buy.
Hidden Immunity Idol: 6 tokens
This idol only gains power if you get back into…
It may be given or sold to another player on…
But you must do so before the challenge
…can be brought back into…
I think that last line starts with “Only one idol” but I can’t catch the frame on pause and in slow motion it really looks like “If anyone.”
