Sushi: maki or nigiri

Both, equally. I can dig on the simplicity of the nigiri, isolating specific taste-elements in bite sized nibblets.

But I also dig the combination flavors and textures of the maki rolls, too.

It’s why I don’t go out for sushi too often; I (over!)indulge and can’t afford it!

Wheel me out in a wheelbarrow in a bloated, sake-besotted coma!

nigiri almost all the way. i barely tolerate most rolls. maybe a spider roll now and then.

Maki. I **adore **the taste of nori. In fact I LOVE those seaweed snacks that are just little plastic containers of small sheets of nori. I’ve been buying ginormous packages of them from amazon.

Nigiri (and sashimi) please.

Kimbap. Yeah, the Japanese stuff is fine, but Koreans seem to be more adventurous in what they’ll put in their rolls. Spam, radish, and cheese combo is my favorite.

I voted Nigiri, but, of course, it doesn’t mean maki aren’t good.
Good nigiri is awesome in a way that maki can’t. Also, it’s less prone to “creative” ideas.

Depends on the fish and how much seaweed is required to enhance (or in some cases, drown) the flavour.

This is true. I voted that I liked both equally, but now that you mention it, I’ve never seen deep fried cheeseburger nigiri.
