I want to believe the bad guys have been caught. But I have yet to read what is their connection with the bombing. Am I missing something? Have they found evidence in their possession?
They had all sorts of explosives in their possession, some of which they deployed against the police. They also allegedly told their carjacking victim that they were responsible for the bombings.

Granted, I’m about half-a-day behind on reading the news (spend too much time on SDMB or something), and I was wondering the same thing.
So they really have some good reason that these dudez are the right dudez?
They have photographic and video evidence from multiple sources placing these two people at the exact scenes of the bombs, carrying large bags, no more than 2-3 minutes before the explosions. Seriously, people, what are you looking for here?

The Boston police commissioner was at their apartment and said he had to step over explosives devices similar to the ones used in the bombings. He said it looked like they had set up a factory and that the bombings at the marathon seemed to be merely the beginning of a planned series of bombings.
They admitted their guilt to the guy who they car jacked.
They hurled IEDs at the cops, including a pressure cooker IED just like the marathon bombs. They had ball bearings and stuff in their possession. I mean the list goes on and on. And on and on.
ETA: I really, really hope no one is fishing for a conspiracy theory here. Really
Just looking to fight ignorance, that’s all.
They have surveillance video showing them leaving large bags at the spots that blew up. One of the bombing victims identified them for the police.

None. Another government, most likely Russia, asked for the interview. One was conducted. There was no proof of anything. What significance do you see?

3 to 5 years is probably not long enough to figure out anything for the most well funded investigative agency in the world. Plus, there were budget cuts so perhaps they almost figured it out. I bet if they started following him when he was born they could’ve figured it out so yeah has no significance whatsoever. It’s totally irrelevant that they knew him, they knew his tendencies, they knew where he lives, where he goes what he does who he talks to what he eats and he was clean as a button.
