Except my view is that, as they are so widespread and unremarkable for the most part, that they’re not worth reporting, and that Terr shouldn’t have been warned for them. I have reported, and will continue to report, posts that I feel require moderator attention. But I’m not going to report everything that could be construed as a mild slight if one squints, just because other people have, as it would be both petty and a waste of my time and that of the mods.
I was under the impression that naming other people was, at minimum, bad practice, if not an actual violation. But, as I said, I’m not going to report people that I don’t thing have done anything wrong, and would prefer that others don’t do so either.

I don’t think they were needless. If you get six warnings in a year, you’re going to get suspended regardless of your political views. And of course we normally link to a poster’s warnings regardless of their political affiliation or anything else. You attributed malice to us; the mods did not attribute any to you. You made a factually incorrect statement; we did not. So that’s a little different.

You wouldn’t get 6 warnings in a year for acting like Terr if you weren’t obnoxiously right-wing, as is evidenced by the amount of obnoxious left-wingers who get no warnings whatsoever. Hell, you’re participating in another thread with me now where another poster is saying things to me at least as bad as Terr did to anyone, but I don’t consider them out of order, and as such haven’t reported them.
But yes, I was wrong to assume that the moderating team wouldn’t link to those warnings, and I apologise for doing so.

If you don’t think the rules are being broken (and I don’t think they are, but I don’t mod GD), then you really don’t have anything to complain about there.
I’m not complaining about my treatment there, I’m stating my opinion that I wouldn’t have complained about receiving one of Terr’s comments, as they’re no worse (IMO) than things being said in that thread.
Maybe my standards are wrong for this board, but I seem to be behaving myself well enough to avoid warnings, except for one where I mistakenly thought I was in the Pit… I actually think I’ve said things similar to some of those Terr said without any issue.
I agree with that, but that’s different than the first claim you made in this thread, that lefty posters get away with the level of snark that **Terr **didn’t.
If this is true, and if the moderators are selectively enforcing the rules based on politics, then how do you account for the fact that you haven’t gotten in trouble?
This clearly means that for some reason the moderators must be biased in your favor, despite the fact that you are right-wing. Since this means you must have been sending us Scotch, I wonder why I haven’t received any (hint, hint).
