Those people who died in the Arizona sweat lodge-I seem to remember that $cientology pushes somethin like this-it is called a “purification rundown”-and can be fatal to some people.
Is there any evidence that the guy who runs this thing is an ex-Scientologist?
Hope the victim’s families sue this guy.
Sweat lodges are by no means limited to Scientologists. Absent some evidence that Hubbardians are involved, I see no reason to speculate that they are.
More likely, Native American.
More likely, a white-guy, bastardized, New-Agey version of Native American.
Sedona – that.
Not Scientology, but The Science of Success…
From what I’ve read about Scientology’s “Purification Rundown”, it doesn’t involve sweat lodges. There are other unsafe and scary things about what the Scientologists do, butI think they’re innocent on this one. You can do stupid and dangerous New-Agey stuff without having anything to do with them.
no but it does include some wierd niacin eating, vinegar preparation drinking and sauna sweating …
niacin is not a kind safe vitamin to be overdosing upon…
I’d guess asphyxiation based on this:
"Deputies said 50 to 60 people were crammed in the make-shift tent, which was only 30 inches on the sides and 53 inches in the center. " (doesn’t say but that’s got to be height)

Apparently after the deaths he posted something on his website (or blog or tweet) that said (paraphrased) “in order for new things to be born, something has to die first”
Sounds like a wonderful, very spiritually evolved kind of a guy and I am sure that his book “The Secret” will help him with insight on why he is going to be sued or criminally charged…

Near the end of this video one of the hospital workers said there were some minor (first degree) burns. http://www.kpho.com/video/21256375/index.html
