Sweet potato fries?

I’ve had both good and bad sweet potato fries. If I’m in a new place I’m likely to give them a try. But great crisp regular fries are usually better.

I chose the first choice, but it does depend on the restaurant. I’ve had some that were a mushy mess, but the same can be said for regular fries.

I love baked sweet potatoes and make them once or twice a week.

I detest sweet potato in any form, though fries are the worst.

Me too.

I rarely eat at any place that has sweet potato fries, and on those occasions I’ll take them in a heartbeat over regular fries.

If you could get them everywhere you could get fries, I’d probably want sweet potato fries some of the time, and regular fries some of the time. So at places like McDonalds and Burger King with mediocre fries, I’d take the sweet potato fries. At Five Guys, I’d take the french fries.

If someone called **Spud **isn’t the authority, I don’t know who is!

I’ve never tasted them and would never have them as a substitute if *real *fries were available, but I’d be open to trying them. I don’t like sweet potatoes so I’m not likely to enjoy them, but I’m not afraid of them like I am, for example, of mayonnaise

They’re quite nice just salted like you’d eat regular french fries, but for the spectacular experience you need to drench them in cajun sausage gravy.

I’ll venture that a lot of the people who don’t care for them are the kind of folks who would put ketchup on their french fries, which sort of disqualifies them from being taken seriously on any food-related matter.

I love anything sweet potato and/or pumpkin, and I love fried food.

I go nuts over sweet potato fries. Food do not get better for me.

Not a fan. Not a fan of sweet potatoes no matter how they’re prepared.

I voted Meh. I’ll eat them if they’re in front of me, but I wouldn’t order them. I could also have voted Not a fan or You don’t have salad?. In fact, I usually choose a salad – even before I started avoiding carbohydrates. They’re just not as good as regular fries. FWIW, I’ve also had avocado fries. I love avocados. I’m not a fan of avocado fries.

Turkey burgers and sweet potato fries. . .there are just so many things wrong with that.

I don’t like sweet potatoes that much, but I can eat some sweet potato fries. I just wouldn’t order them, I will steal a couple of yours thankyouverymuch.

I love sweet potatoes, but sweet potato fries are not what I’m looking for in a french fry. I mean, I’ll eat them if they’re there, but I wouldn’t order them if they weren’t the only option. They don’t disgust me or anything, they’re just bland and meh.

French fries, hash browns and tater tots are literally the only things ketchup is good for.

They’re OK, we eat them infrequently, but they are a controversial item in the Trep household.

Y’see, there’s a chipfork attached to the calendar, and every time we have chips, that fork gets moved forwards one month (it’s discipline, man). But do SPFs count? Up to now (as they are an infrequent thing) they have been treated as not counting, but there has never really been a justification for that.

We may have to reconvene the chipfork committee.

I figured someone would have a problem with that.

You probably don’t like pineapple on pizza either. :stuck_out_tongue:

Loves me my pepperoni and pineapple pizzas, my friend. And I don’t have a problem with your eating habits; just making the expected jibe.

At least once a week, our dinner will consist of sweet potatoes and broccoli. Plenty tasty and healthy, and quick and easy to make. Of course, if there were tasty people kibble, I’d eat that every meal.

For those who say they hate SP however they are made, my wife will occasionally cut them up and back them, with butter, brown sugar, and walnuts. As far as I’m concerned, they are almost candy, and it is stretching things mighty thin to call them a vegetable at that point. You find that sorta thing inedible?

That’s basically the way they’ve always been served to me. Don’t care for it.

Love 'em. Give me more. I’ll take yours! Sweet potatoes is good eats at all times.
