Swiss Rail Journeys - need to find on DVD

I’m looking for someone for my grandfather and my Google-fu is failing me.

There’s a PBS series from the '80s called Swiss Rail Journeys that was a 6 episode format. It was available on VHS which he’s had but the color has gone bad on it.

I’m looking for the same thing available on DVD. Complicating this is that there’s apparently a DVD set called Swiss Rail Journeys that wasn’t the one from PBS. I’m not sure what it is, but the reviews have just not been as good.

I can’t find it on PBS’s site for sale. I can’t find it on Amazon or eBay. Where else can I look? Anyone know anything about this series?

Thanks

Do you have any other information about it, such as production company, publisher, etc?

I find a Swiss Rail Journeys from Columbia Rover Entertainment Group.

Is that the newer one that is confounding your searches?

Long shot…

I found a listing for a used VHS copy on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Swiss-Rail-Journeys-1-VHS/dp/6303056628 that, if it is the right one, holds possibles clue in the reviews:

“The series has been broadcast on PBS so the quality is first rate. The six tapes include The Albula Line: Chur to St. Moritz. The Davos Line: Landquart to Davos and Filisur. The Montreaux-Ovberland Bernous Railway (MOB) Montreaux to Zweisimmen. The Arosa Line: Chur to Arosa. The Bruening Line, Part 1: Interlaken to Meringen. The Bruening Line, Part 2: Meringen to Luzern”

and

“The full set of 24 is sold on DVD by MITV on its Web site, but only in European PAL format, so unless you own a PAL to NTSC converter, you’re out of luck there.”

Yes. My belief is that this is the one I’m looking for. We’re in the US, so any DVD would have to be programmed for this area.
I’ve seen references it to it playing on the Travel Channel UK but since we don’t get that, that’s a no-go either.
