I have done the same thing…I’ve been enjoying it, and I am disappointed I don’t h ave easy access to the remaining episodes…I watched as a kid, before we had a VCR, so I am pretty sure there are episodes I missed and I would like to see them.
I caught a goof in one of the episodes that I’m surprised the producers let slip through. It was in the episode on the eve of Ralph and Pam’s wedding and Connie Selleca accidentally called William Katt “Will” instead of Ralph. And no, she didn’t say “Bill” nor was her character talking to Robert Culp’s. I have it on DVR and Pam is clearly addressing Ralph, but calling him by Katt’s real name. Apparently the director didn’t catch it, nor was it corrected in post-production.
Ahh. I was expecting an older character like she played on V, plus, a more substantial role - seemed like the male students got a lot more plot, especially the thugish guy.
I found it amusing how some of his male high school students were invited to his bachelor party! Granted, they were denied alcohol, but they still got in on the stag film and sexy dancer action… Although I enjoyed the fact that his fiance had just as risque a party.
Also found it amusing that Ralph’s son just randomly stops existing at some point.
I watched as many as I could and it didn’t ruin any nostalgia for me. The SFX was the main thing that stood out as dated. I could put up with everything else.
A couple of things I noticed. I don’t know if it was sloppy scriptwriting or low-budget production values, but Bill drives a government issue vehicle, doesn’t he? Several in one year, in fact, from the way his supervisor is always bitching at him about totaling government property. Yet, I’ve noticed California plates on Bill’s car in at least one instance. Shouldn’t a federally-issued vehicle have U. S. government plates? Bill hasn’t exactly been working undercover, except for keeping Ralph and his costume a secret. Also, in one episode, he was pulled over for driving with expired plates. Isn’t that the agency’s responsibility to keep current registration on a government issued car?
In one case, I’d accept having to work on a low budget, but the registration thing is sloppy writing. It’s never mentioned whether Bill has his own private car. He’s either tooling around in his fedmobile or riding with Ralph and Pam in Pam’s Beetle.
Believe it or not,
George isn’t at home.
Please leave a message… at the bee-ee-eep!
I must be out, or I’d pick up the phone,
Where could I be?
Believe it or not, I’m not home!
