Now who is gonna talk to my dead great grand uncle Jebidiah?
Fave Sylvia Browne moment, evah.
Hahaaa! Montel’s pitiful, “In 9-11…” Trailing off and faltering desperately. You can just imagine his eyes pleading with Sylvia like, “come on! Get with it! It couldn’t have been water! You’re killing me!”
Seems to me like that should have been ended her career. But I have a feeling it didn’t. Am I right?
Good. She was a bad person, taking advantage of people’s desperation over minor things like their child being abducted.
Montel is a pretty bad person too.
No, see, it all made sense. He was a fire fighter on 9-11, so the water hoses that they used to put out the fires drowned him, and the hoses were so powerful that “he’s in water”. HE’S STILL IN THAT FIRE HOSE WATER!!!
I love her technique though. She has this blase, nonchalant style about her that I guess really works on some people.
The easy joke is “I’ll bet she didn’t see that coming!”
In this case it’s actually true. She predicted her own death at age 88:
KING: OK. Do you know when you’re going to die?
BROWNE: Yes. When I’m 88.
