I found Sylvia to be a so-so movie about a depressed poet. But it’s worth the price of admission for Gwyneth Paltrow’s (shoe-in Oscar nominating) performance. It’s a good head-scratcher movie for the artsy types.
Did the movie mention that when Plath lived in London (I think), she lived in the same house that Yeats had lived in?
If they did mention that fact, I must have missed it. She lived several different places, some with her husband, some with just her and the kids.
The reason I think she will win an Oscar for this performance: I found myself actually talking out loud to her during the show, and I noticed other people did the same thing.
