Is it true that Taco Bell changed the name of their chilito to chili cheese burrito because “chilito” is Spanish slang for a penis?
I worked there years ago when the chilito first came out (I’m better now, thanks!), and that’s the rumor I heard also. This is in Austin, TX. Couldn’t say for sure if it’s true or not, though.
And then one wonders, do chilitos actually contain chilitos?
Given the title of this thread, I’m just glad you haven’t brought “genetically modified” into the discussion.
The alternative Spanish Dictionary says that “chilito” really is Mexican slang for “little dick.”
Chilitos y huevos.

Whew. I looked at the topic line and thought: NOW what did somebody find in their taco?!
I went to a comedy club here in LA, and a latino comic said that “chalupa” is Spanish for “fat woman,” or something to that effect. Anybody know if this is true?
I don’t know about chalupa, but I know gordita means ‘little fatty’ and is used as a term of endearment for chubby little girls. I have a friend who refuses to order one because that’s what her aunts used to call her.
Someone needs to tell poohpah chalupa!
