Just another name for the thick, white, cream-based gravy you get on things like biscuits and gravy. Wikipedia says it’s basically a béchamel sauce, but for the southern U.S. that name is a little too…French.
I agree. I am often up early in the AM and by the time I roll into town and get hungry, it’s only 9AM, but I can’t get anything to eat that resembles lunch that early. Eggs? Yechh. I had those for breakfast at 5AM. Don’t want again at 9.
Amen, Small Hen.
Growing up in San Antonio, we used to joke with the non-locals that we didn’t know what to do with the milk because breakfast was usually tacos.
Man, I do miss me some breakfast tacos.
Hmm…my Subway has had breakfast since last year. I guess it was one of the test markets.
Breakfast burritos are a staple here, too, but not at Taco Bell. Only at Sonic, Hardee’s (our Carl’s Jr.), and McDonald’s. Burger King had them for a bit. And that’s all that’s open for breakfast (besides Pizza Hut and their breakfast pizza.)
Breakfast pizza? Surely by “breakfast pizza” you just mean cold leftover pizza? That’s the only way!
Jeez, now I want to order pizza just so I can have it cold tomorrow.
