They tried breakfast at least 2 times in the past that I know of. I used to get breakfast burritos from Taco bell but they stopped breakfast around here. I will try the Wendy’s burritos this week.
They never stopped where I live. But they changed the opening time to 6:30 am instead of 6, so I stopped going. Shame, I like their breakfast sandwich, and breakfast potatoes.
I also used to like the burritos, I REALLY liked the hot sauce. But they changed that.
I will definitely try this. The only other fast food breakfast that I like is Jack in the Box. Another choice would be good.
How does a major chain fail at breakfast though?
All it takes is bacon and eggs between two slices of bread. How do you mess that up?
I don’t know why they bother. Let everybody order the regular menu in the morning. Nothing wrong with a burger or a couple of fish tacos for breakfast. Live a little!
Burger King screws it up pretty badly IMHO. I don’t know how they make their sausage but it seems a cruel treatment of pork. Their “croissants” are the worst kind of apathy.
Sonic does this. And as someone who works the night shift and gets sick of breakfast food, I greatly appreciate it.
A chili dog and onion rings at 7 in the morning can be quite tasty.
apparently the wendys I frequent started breakfast this past saturday.
It was FREE for anyone that came thru and ordered…
No one showed up.
Wendy’s tried their hand at “boneless wings” back when McDonald’s brought out “Mighty Wings”, but while McDonald’s actually used actual chicken wings, Wendy’s literally put their normal chicken nuggets in Franks Red Hot sauce and called them “boneless wings”, I’m not making this up.
In Wendy’s’ defense, Mighty Wings were shit.
I can’t even get breakfast when I get off at 4:30. Steak N Shake dinner menu is the only option where I live. Sometimes I work late until 6:30 so that opens up Mcdonalds. The BK in my town keeps irregular hours - certainly never open at 6am for breakfast and sometimes closed at 8pm on a Friday night. The Sonic was a failed experiment, I guess. Since one opened and closed within a few years. I think they bulldozed and built a chipotle.
There used to be a Wendy’s across the street from my office that served breakfast. The only thing on the menu I tried was the honey chicken biscuit. It was excellent. I shed many tears when the place closed down.

No Dunkins nearby?
My cousin had the breakfast Baconator sandwich yesterday morning. His verdict was that it was “pretty good but you can taste all the sodium and fat clogging your arteries.” A few minutes later he texted “it was seriously too much…I had to stop at Dunkin to get a large iced coffee to rinse the salt out of my mouth.” The breakfast Baconator is a sausage-and-egg sandwich served with a ton of bacon on it and apparently a Swiss cheese sauce (that my cousin mistook for a shitton of mayo.)
Suffice to say, I’m not anxious to try it. I’m happy with both McDonald’s and White Castle breakfast menu options when I feel like fast fooding it. I’ve tried both DD and BK menus, and found both to be, to put it charitably, subpar.
McD was smart to go to all day breakfast I wonder if anyone else is going to try that of the big chains besides Bojangles.
I wonder how much they let you tweak the breakfast baconator? I don’t do hamburger, so if they would just swap the burger for MORE bacon…
Our nearest Wendy’s is 90 minutes away, too far for breakfast; and with better options near there, who needs it? We can get great breakfast burritos at the nearest taco truck, 15 minutes away. All fresh, too.
How can any eatery fail at breakfast? That takes careful corporate planning. :smack:
White Castle does all day breakfast as well (since 2015).
Breakfast baconator has no hamburger. It’s a breakfast sausage patty.
Yeah, I was reading some descriptions of their new breakfast lineup, and that Baconator sounded like way too extra. Too much bacon, (6 slices?!) on a sausage patty, with cheese and hollandaise. Sounds REALLY greasy and salty.
