Has Wendy’s ever served a breakfast menu? Or trialed one? I vaguely remember seeing a Wendy’s at a serivice station with a sign saying “Breakfast” on a roadtrip as a kid. This might have been around the same time they had buffets/salad bars.
In 1984 when I worked for Wendy’s in Shrewsbury, NJ, we had a breakfast menu and a salad bar, but this was before the buffet bar.
We had eggs and bacon on the menu. I do not recall what else. I did not work mornings.

Yeah, I remember Wendy’s in Canada having pretty good breakfasts in the mid-Eighties, not sure when they disappeared.
On a side note, what happened to McDonalds Cherry pies? Now they only have Apple pies.
Did Wendy’s do away with their salad bar? Dang, I guess I haven’t been in a Wendy’s in a long time then.
There was talk of Wendy’s introducing a breakfast menu but that was back in 2005 and I haven’t heard anything about it since that time.

Oh, I’ve never seen breakfast at Wendy’s… sorry
For some additional information: Wendy’s is bringing back a breakfast menu in select locations.

Wendy’s has a really nice line of prepared salads. I have been eating the Mandarin Chicken Salad 3 times a week for lunch for the last six months and it has helped me lose 40+ pounds.
Some stores also have a Vanilla Frosty now, it is quite tasty, but I do not recommend them for losing weight.

IIRC, a Wendy’s in Houston’s Bush Intercontinental Airport serves breakfast.
I worked at Wendy’s in the late eighties and we had “super salad bar” that had breakfast foods in the morning.

Any of you youngins remember when McDonald’s pies were deep fried? Gosh, they were good. These baked things are dried and not at all tasty.

From This Aussie McD’s site from This post about burgers & sawdust it looks like the lucky folks down there still get a fried apple pie…
No word on cherry though… that was always my favorite.
As to the OP… are Wendy’s franchises prohibitied in some way from coming up with a breakfast menu? Or have they determined somehow that it’s not worth it for them to do right now from a corporate level?
Forget Wendy’s- I want a Taco Bell breakfast menu. I know, I need help.
I’m confused. What do you mean Wendy’s doesn’t have breakfast? Then what were those bacon egg and cheese biscuits I got there on the way to work?

We served breakfast at Wendy’s in New Orleans and Metairie, Louisiana, roughly the same era ('84-86). Home fries rather than hashbrowns were involved, but that’s about all I remember.

So you lived through the whole “What’s your beef” campaign also?
That got very old. ![]()

In Chicago, I used to get Wendy’s biscuits and gravy every Thursday morning.
Well, the Wendy’s down the street from here has recently put up a very large inflatable Wendy’s cup on the roof that says
BREAK
FAST
So i’m assuming they serve breakfast now.

Came here to post pretty much the same thing about the same part of the country. The Wendy’s where I worked was still serving breakfast as of early 1989. The Super Bar (salad bar + some quasi-Mexican items) hung on until the mid-90s … I seem to remember that the breakfast menu was gone by then.
