Take the Culture-Fair IQ test.

111 checking in. The low score so far of everybody who didn’t guess. OTOH, when I didn’t know I said I didn’t know, which surely didn’t help any.

This is well below my Stanford-Binet test, BTW.

I’m not sure quit how culture-fair the test is, as some of the early questions seemed to favor people who read from left to right. Not that I could use that as my excuse…

I got 162 also. I wonder how this fits in with other measurements. My combined SAT (1972 version) was 1460. I always feel like I’m getting stupider every year, but I guess CRS* is unrelated to IQ. Whatever IQ is…

Can’t remember Sh*, for you younguns.

Only 137… some of the patterns were really hard to find, and I tended to give up after looking for a while.

Only 111 :(. I’m glad there are at least some of you out there who scored so low. I feel dumb.

Hey there!
Been a lurker for a looong time with nothing important enough to post.
Just thought I’d let you guys know that my 12 year old daughter took the test…yes, at one thirty in the morning…and scored 126. Not bad, eh?
Atta girl, Laura!
And now that I’ve bothered to fill in my information
YOU’LL NEVER BE RID OF ME!!!

  1. But I fell asleep during part 4. I really did for about 30 seconds or so. After that, I said “screw it” and clicked boxes at random before submitting.

I got the same as Kat, which was 127. Damn with all these very high scores from others, I guess they are right about there being above average brains on SDMB.

Ooh, that’s just a little eerie, eulalia. I also scored 1460 - both in 1987 and again in 1989. Are you my long-lost half-sister?!?

Oh, and welcome, Rushgeek! Don’t be concerned: the issue is not whether we’ll ever be rid of you, but whether you’ll be able to escape from US!

Hmm. 152. But I didn’t guess with any of them. The only ones I was really unsure about were 16 (even though I’m pretty sure I spotted the pattern), and 20 (I think I got the pattern and therefore the correct answer, but possibly not). I wasn’t entirely sure what the rules for 11 and 15 were, either, but I think I got them right. Hmm…I was going to discuss them in more detail and ask for other people’s theories on what was going on with 16 and 20, but on second thought I don’t want to post potential spoilers just yet. Maybe later?

116 - Answering almost the entire 4th section as “I dont know”.

Sigh… 136. I guess I must be getting dumber as the years go by, since I got something upwards of 150 last time I was tested. I’m not exactly a visual person, though, so that may have something to do with it.

Gawd, I hope so.

  1. Damn. Maybe I’ll try again later when I’m more awake, but that last page was a killer.

131 - just what the little voices tell me I am

I got bored partway through (I hate looking at those darn patterns-they make my eyes feel wiggly) and started guessing at section 3. Ended up with a 106.

I’m not worried about it. I know I’m a smart cookie.

157, with one I Don’t Know in sect 3

If I’m so smart, why ain’t I rich??

132 here. Which is about average with other IQ tests I’ve taken. Gotta agree the 3rd & 4th pages were the ones that kicked my butt (though I didn’t answer “I don’t know” to any of them)

OK, I got a 111, which means I’m “above population average but in the normal range”.
Not bad for 10 am on a Sunday morning after a Saturday night of heavy drinking.

Rose

127 for me! No “I dunno’s”, which is not really true since on many of them I really did not know.

I’m surprised I didn’t get a -14. I usually do really lousy on those picture tests.

I think I’ll go around feeling brighter than average today. What a novel concept!

116

Another 157 here.

Well done to eulalia and BigGiantHead (so you only look like William Shatner then?)
