Taking in rescue cats can be heartbreaking

Oh, that is really hard to witness. I’m so sorry.

My rescue doggy was euthanized after nearly 4 years of failing health. I still sense him in the house, napping or following me. I don’t think I have the strength that rescuing requires. Bless you.

I have a (small) house full of them, and every yelp and call that says, “Hey! You spent too attention on that stupid dog,” along with an, “Asshole, I’m over here!” makes me more attached. Or more likely to suffocate them. It’s complex.
