My little buddy is just finishing his potty training, he’ll be three next week. He’s been working on it for about 6 months.
We started with a little potty that plays music at him, made him set there with a book or toy, and then heaped encouragement when something happened.
Then we put him in big-boy pants (yes, we’ve got hardwood floors :D), and it took him a bit to associate the feelings, but wet drawers were plenty of encouragement to figure out when it was time to go potty. We put him in diapers overnight now, but he’s in drawers the rest of the time.
He doesn’t want anything to do with his potty anymore. He uses it as a stepstool to get on the momma-daddy-potty, and sits sideways, braced on his hands.
