That guy needs to sue the automobile company for making the car and the dealership for selling it to him, both of which directly lead to his having the vehicle at the time of the accident.

Wow, that’s a pretty generous causation theory. I find it amazing that the judge would ignore intervening causes of the pregnancy like, oh say, some guy fucking Ms. Coles.

And what about the birth control pill manufacturer? Shouldn’t they be liable for not reminding her to take her pill every day? Perhaps her doctor? They should have stapled her pills to her forhead so that she would see them every morning when she fell out of whomevers bed she was in and wandered down to the bathroom.

The doctor should have been calling her every day to remind her to take her pill! Where is HIS/HER responsibility? Huh???

I didn’t knoe that GB was as screwed up as the USA! I really thought that english judges had sense! Of course, the awrd wasn’t much…when will we see tobacco lawsuits in the UK?

Sorry, don’t buy it. Sounds phony. Anyone have a cite more authoratative than “Mark Shepard’s News of the Weird”?

And more authoritative than the Scottish Daily Record. I read that rag fairly often - it’s hardly a reliable source.
