What are the best newsgroups, IRC channels, websites or other sources for people using keyboards and computers to make their own music? I’d like to discuss software, hardware, techniques, etc.
There’s really not one singular group or place online that excels. The best I’ve found are yahoogroups dedicated to specific programs or pieces of gear - the people generally end up talking about programs, gear, techniques, etc. not specifically related to that piece.
Or, you’re welcome to IM me anytime, because I love talking about this stuff and know tons about it.
General Questions is the forum for questions that have factual answers.
