Anyone out there want to get together sometime? I know there are a lot of new Florida dopers since Michelle and I met last year, so there’s probably a few in the Tampa area. Any day is good for me except Sunday, and even that’s doable if I can give notice about a week in advance. I’m free through the end of July. Let me know what kind of schedules everyone has, and if no one else posts, then Michi, e-mail me if you want to do lunch again sometime. Hope to hear from someone!

Since it seems, from past experience, that Florida dopers are loathe to make concrete plans but are willing to say “whatever you guys want”, let’s call it next Tuesday and see if that’ll work for everyone. Michi, you know Tampa better than I do… should we meet at that Friday’s again or is there a better place for a larger group?

AnyTuesday is OK for me…as for food…what does everyone like? We can do a Fridays or Ruby Tuesday’s because the have something for everyone…it seems the safest choice. I am posting from work about this, so if you have sent me an e-mail I don’t have access to it right now.

The place is called Buca del Beppo, or something close to that. The atmosphere there defies description, but the food is very good. It is located on North Dale Mabry, just south of Fletcher Ave. More explicit directions can be given via e-mail.
What time does everyone want to meet? I think this place is only open for dinner, not lunch.

Reviving this thread… Michelle, would you care to provide directions for me from Downtown Tampa? Dad needs to go to the office there that day, so I’m gonna go up there, stay at his office for an hour or so (I’ve never seen it before and he retires at the end of the month), and then drive myself to wherever we’re having lunch and back downtown. How’s noon-ish sound?
And is it just Michi, GolfWidow, and myself? Others that can make it are welcome to shout out…
