TAR 4/14: "My Cheese Is Out Of Control"

I have been watching TAR since season 3 I think but this is the second time this season I completely forgot about it and didn’t even notice…I think that is a sign I am bored and need to bail.

Re: TAR starting late b/c of sporting events earlier in the day- for those of you with a DVR, why not just add an hour of recording time to the TAR Season Pass? Sometimes I get TAR and whatever airs after it (The Good Wife, I think), and sometimes I get some or all of 60 Minutes and all of TAR; I can’t remember the last time I missed the ending of TAR because it was delayed more than an hour.

Same here, corkboard. Set for 2 hours instead of 1 and you’re good to go.

In the past several years there’s been exactly once where it was delayed more than an hour.

That is what I do, although sometimes it fucks up the recording of other shows, since you can only record two channels at once and there are often multiple shows on at the same time Sunday nights.

I’m curious, do some of you not have the “any day, any time” option to record shows? Granted we rarely get delays out here on the west coast, but I have all my program set to record the show “any day, any time” so that whenever they air, they are recorded. Also set to “first run only” so I don’t record any repeats.

That only works when the service provider pushes out an update of the program schedule, which doesn’t happen in the “delayed by a late running football/basketball/golf” situation, or at least not in any service providers I’ve had.

Exactly, I watched my DVR’d version of the show last night but my DVR didn’t call it “The Amazing Race”. I technically watched “The Good Wife” because the listings don’t update to reflect delays.
