Do we have taste buds (or any other kind of taste receptors) in the roof of our mouths? A cousin of mine has a full upper denture, covering the roof of her mouth, and she claims foods have a weaker taste when she’s wearing it.
I’ve always thought all our taste buds are in the tongue, and I suspect there’s something psychologocal going on with her.
