What is the deal with women getting all of these stupid tattoos all over their bodies?
This thing went from a small, sensual rose on the pelvic bone to all kinds of “Blade” looking things just above the crack of the ass and things that circumnavigate the bicept.
Ha, ha! You’ve got last year’s tatoo! So old hat – If your hat was surgically welded to your ass!
No, no, seriously, I find it nice when someone lays out the welcome mat – when I’m knocking on the back door – I’m like, hey! What’s this on her ass? A crossword puzzle!? How thoughtful!
Yeah, I kinda resent that, because of those big honkin’ ink jobs they have on them, I’ll never get to see Asia Argento and Drew Barrymore truly, really nekkid!
Dramatis Personae:
Me, your humble geek
Her, a girl that for some reason was talking to me
Her: " … which is when I got my second tattoo."
Me: “Oh! You have tattoos?”
Her: “Yup, three of them. But don’t worry, they’re not those stupid trendy ones you always see. I found ones that truly fit me, that were unique. I like to be different.”
Me (entertaining thoughts of starting a game of ‘Show me your Tattoo’) : “Good! I’m kind of sick of seeing the same old rose on the shoulder, butterfly on the lower back, and dolphin on the ankle. So, tell me, what are your tattoos, and where are they on your body?”
Her: [icy glare]
Me: “Oh. I see.”
[Embarassed silence]
I have to ask this question - Why do you care for?
If its not affecting you then why does it matter what anyone looks like or does to their body?
You ask why these women are getting ‘stupid’ tattoo’s all over their bodies, but who are you to say what they are getting done to themselves is stupid?
Just because you live your life a certain way doesn’t mean that it’s the correct way to live it.
Isn’t it funny that it’s the non - modified people that complain about modified people and not the other way around. Maybe tattooed and pierced people should start ridiculing all the people who haven’t got any work done on them.
Not going to happen though - Modified people just aren’t as rude as the people who want to put them down for how they look.
P.S – Tattoo’s are extremely sexy on women, especially those huge black tribal pieces or full back pieces. They do say beauty is in the eye of the beholder J
If you’re going to get a tattoo, for God’s sake don’t get a cliche tattoo. A barbed wire pattern around your bicep? Christ, join the other 15,000,000,000 Metallica fans with the same frickin’ tattoo. A Chinese symbol? Get in line, sheep-girl.
It’s a horseshoe, and I got it for a very specific, personal reason. I was pondering the idea of getting one, but couldn’t decide what to get. I asked my dad nonchalantly if he had ever thought about getting one.
His answer: “My grandpa had a horse shoe on his forearm, and he made me promise him when I was a little kid that I’d never get a tattoo. So no, I’ve never thought about getting one.” I nodded, agreed, and then got my tattoo. I love it, it’s small and in a place that is easy to show if I feel like showing it to somebody, but also in a place that is easy to hide so that I can always dress appropriately. It also reminds me of my dad’s favorite grandpa. That’s just my $0.02.
Oh, and my husband doesn’t really have any feelings about it at all. haha In fact, I think he forgets I have it. (Until he’s in a position that makes it very easy to see. haha)
:D:D
Just voicing my opinion is all. MY Humble Opinion. Get it!
I have to ask THIS question - who are YOU to say that I shouldn’t have a opinion.
Yes, YOUR opinion is that tattoo’s on a women is sexy, I say not. End of story.
That’s what makes this country great - the ability to voice disagreement. If you’re not comfortable with that, I’m sure Iraq is looking for some citizens.
I noticed an aggressive tone in my post and for that I apologise. I wrote it in haste and sent it without previewing. It just happens to be a topic that is very close to my heart, one I feel strongly about and one that I have encountered several pigheaded people on.
My post wasn’t implying that you shouldn’t have an opinion. I was merely trying to fathom why you would let this bother you to the point where you have an opinion and feel the need to express it.
I personally don’t have an opinion on things unless they affect me in some way, or I have researched the topic well enough to make an opinion.
Is it purely for aesthetic reasons why you don’t like them?? Is it the ‘fuck you’ to society that tattoos imply that bothers you?? Is it a fear of the unknown that bothers you (it’s human nature to mock what we don’t understand)?? What has made you have this opinion of tattooed women.
By they way your last paragraph means absolutely nothing to me, I’m an Aussie, and I KNOW my country is great.
I find the smaller tattos to be sexiest on women…my gf has a small crescent moon on her butt-you can’t see it uless she is wearing a thong. The large area ones I find to be a turn-off, they seem to suggests a gang/trailor park mentality.
What I find kind of perplexing is women who get a tattoo on their breast and have low cut shirts but then are pissed when people are looking at it. It draws attention! I’m not TRYING to leer, but you have this colorful pattern that I see out of the corner of my eye. And I’m trying to decipher the cryptic ganster font written above it.
At the last meeting of the Tattooed Sluts Society, one of the members did mention your preferences, Omni. “No more tattoos; Omnipresent doesn’t like them.”
There was a short pause, then we all laughed like hell and got new tats anyway. Turns out nobody there had you in mind. Sorry.
Tattoos are an “**** you” to society?? Wow, who knew? And here I thought they were a societal trend. I find them unattractive myself, but I kinda doubt that society disapproves; it seems to love them.
Maybe if, 15-20 years ago, you had “**** you, society” tattooed on your forehead. No one cares now.
