Tax deductions

I’m going to help my aunt with her “new” computer. She’s a retired Roman Catholic nun. If I offer to buy her dinner, can I take that as a charitable donation deduction?

This is supposed to be amusing. I’m not really serious.

Just make sure you have a receipt…

If she fills out the proper 501©(3) paperwork, you might actually be able to claim the deduction!

(Also, if you’re a retired nun, can you renounce your vow of celibacy? Just curious.)

Duke, I don’t know, but if it comes up I’ll make sure to ask her for you.

Ahem, let me rephrase that…oh forget it.

Oh, I’m not asking for me, I’m asking for some former priests I know! (He said confidently!)
