Red Cross calling for computer donations and tech help. Assuming that link works (since I never preview), all of the computer geeks out there who’ve thought their services were not called for would be WRONG. I’m still blogging the living hell out of this mess, including to try to find volunteering links and stuff like that.
If you WANT to help you probably CAN…it’s just a question of finding out how.

Hama, is there anythingthose of us who can’t give a computer, but who can give time and such, can do? After a 2:30 appointment today, I’m totally free until Monday.
I am not a relief worker, but I would recommend calling the Red Cross, Salvation Army, Goodwill, or a local religious organization to see if any of them have numbers you can call with offers to volunteer. I’m sure they’re out there, in spades.
As I go I’m trying to find sites that are helpful as well as informative but it is slow going.

I work for a telco. I think we need to send a crew and a bunch of our equipment. The pathetic company administration looks at me with blank cow eyes and why expressions.
Of course, we have no way to get there other than fly…
