Ok, over the course of two years I have had two PC crashes caused by a hard drive that was “corrupted”. This happening with a desk top pc with Norton security and something called Webroot. The second crash just about a week ago. Had to use the lap top, which I have had for over a year with zero problems and a single security program.
Is this “Webroot” security program NOT compatible with Norton or another security program? How does a hard drive get corrupted with double protection? OR is the combination of both Norton and Webroot the cause?

Combining protection suites is almost never a good idea.
That was the conclusion I came to. Even though the “geek squad” made a different claim. It failed twice, ergo I am staying with the 1 security program on each pc.
